I've never came into an issue with a provider's trust using such technology. There has been a few occasions I've became close to a provider and allowed them to contact me via my personal cell phone. On those occasions it has drove me to block their numbers due to the incessant "I need help" messages.

It was a one-time fee of $4. 99 (approx.). At the time, Groove IP was aligned with Google Voice. For overseas use, I would put my phone in Airplane Mode, turn-on WiFi and use my phone as a VoIP phone. This past summer, Groove IP changed partners, now aligned with RingTo. RingTo allows you to pick a number, in most cases, it can be in the same area code, but it is not restricted to WiFi only. If I have the RingTo App signed-in, I can pick whether I want the call to originate from my regular cell number or the RingTo number. If I'm calling a provider, I launch my RingTo App, make the call, and leave RingTo active in case the provider tries to call you back (standard two-call system). After the appointment, I simply log-out of the App and I don't have to worry about getting any random calls.

Now, having said all of this, so far, I have not figured out how to text from this App, although there are other apps out there that would allow texting, but I don't think I could match it to the RingTo phone number. Since going this route, I've called providers and had them call me back when I'm en-route. It's worked very well and I've yet to find any drawbacks to using it. If any one else has any info on RingTo or some other means they use, please share.

Not sure what your personal situation is in terms of relationships, job, etc.

But whatever it is you don't want your personal life and your hobby life to intersect. Please do yourself a favor and get one of the throw away phones (ex: Tracfone at WalMart) pay cash for it and when you buy minutes for it pay cash for those as well.

Be careful who you trust because as you have seen many of the folks involved in the hobby have problems of their own.

Starting to check out your forum. I notice most providers don't give a location In their ads. Brevard has a lot of towns.

321 xxx9927 got a txt from a number not in my monger phone. I called it back, the woman was completely smashed and said shed be at 528 & us1 all night and Friday and it was her birthday. Gave price for dream time and even offered an overnight.

Anyway. Weird things are happening.

I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone of you who donated toy's to my annual adopt a (provider) family this year. The last two years were good but this year I was able take the request onto my tour which helped so much! I had many visitors take advantage of the discount in exchange for a toy and there were many who just brought toys by to donate. I offered the exchange while I was on tour and did really good!!

This years provider asked to remain anonymous but I can tell you she is a respected provider here on USA. I was able to get enough toys for her two children and will be picking up the families dinner from Winn Dixie the day before Christmas.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who made this happen! Because of you all, this family will have a Merry Christmas!
