It is a ton of work to find good options, but if you find a 25 year old 9/10 who doesn't cause drama, is (relatively) safe to go BBFS compared to a high volume provider, and can host in a nice apartment of their own for a few hours, I think 100% that is worth it over an AMP or travelling all the way to mexico. I guess the scenario you're describing with a 25 year old 9/10 that causes no drama and can host AND is consistent, the most I would do is like 300 ppm. You mentioned it briefly, but that's really the biggest issue.
I don't have 10-20 hours of travel time (and aggravation) to spend just so I can save, based on your calculations, maybe $50-150 off my PPM arrangement. Would rather just jump in my car and drive 15 minutes, spend as much or as little time as I want, and then be back to normal life. I don't want to have to plan a cross country trip or something. I want to be able to call up my girl, see if she's free tonight, and just be back in time for sleep.
You do end up spending time prospecting like you said, and that's the main reason I don't bother anymore with sugar, but once you have an arrangement setup, its far more convenient and nice. Less likely to get ripped off, more likely to have good service if you've built rapport, safer, etc.

This is the goal and it's the best possible situation to have. The reality and truth though is that it is very difficult to get a consistent arrangement set up that lasts for the long run. I don't have any data to back this up but I would say the typical arrangement from seeking lasts about 1-3 months. So every couple of months you will be prospecting. It's a constant cycle of prospecting that you need to account for, which ultimately will eat more and more into your time. To avoid all of that, taking a plane trip to Montreal Canada for a sure thing and then coming back home the next day could be a reasonable alternative.
If it were that easy to get into consistent and stable arrangements, I would agree with you. But it's not that easy. A lot of grinding is required and you will need to continue to grind even if you find an arrangement. Arrangements fizzle out, things don't last. And it's not exactly easy to replace a lost sugar chick that was decent. Maybe you and others have different experiences, but in my experience it requires a decent amount of work to find a girl that is okay with routine intimate dates, decently attractive, and you offering a reasonable PPM. One thing I've realized is that even if you offer a high PPM that still won't increase your success rate by much, because a lot of girls on seeking are just not down with intimately hooking up regularly. And then we get back to what I said earlier: it's a personal decision. Would you rather pay 1000 PPM, or invest the time to go on a trip and get 200 PPM. But for others that have no plans to relocate at all in the future, then yeah 1000 PPM may make sense for them. Personal decision.
