Oh I'm definitely out of the NC game for now too. That's why I asked about CC as a possibility for some fun still. I'll maybe make a drive to SOB a couple times a year but it's hard to find the excuses to be gone that long. Wondering if there's anything just over the border in southern VA.
I'm sure the majority of guys in this hobby still won't have knowledge of the new law so there should be plenty of fish for them to catch so we can see the outcome.

Some options we already know. Most of the southern towns below that are dry except Petersburg and that's hit and miss.

Sb's affected
Does anyone think the Sugar sites will be affected by the new law? Are there any reports of this occurring in Texas?

Sugar sites
Does anyone think the Sugar sites will be affected by the new law? Are there any reports of this occurring in Texas?
I'm still thinking sugar sites and CC will be safe. In particular, with CC you have to set up your account as a pro with a credit card on file etc. There is too much gray area there I would imagine. Even with that, I would still avoid any sort of paper trail. Only discuss extras in person face to face and don't ask for anything over text or email. Any provider that comes right out with money for sex I would stay away from. Just set up a meet and greet date (or regular cuddle session) and chat from there.
Even with the additional resources and stricter laws, I have to think the focus is still going to be on trafficking and underage stuff and less so on independents, especially ones that are not as obvious like pro cuddlers and SAs.
I'm just guessing though. I have a couple of regulars I'm sticking to for a while.
2021. Yes things in Texas got way worse. But there are a lot of key differences between the Texas version and what's happening in NC that's going to make enforcemet in nc far stronger and getting caught far worse.
Are there? How so? The oldest profession in history always finds a way, so I'm wondering if anyone from that state or who knows about it has seen how things shook out since it's been the law for 4 years there.
For example, freedom of speech is a whole different ballgame, which is how the porn industry works, basically. If you're consenting adults, creating a 'work of art', it's entirely different than prostitution. If me and a friend agree to film us getting together, as the main purpose to create art, is that punishable? I mean, how can a law punish anything two adults do together? This is just an example. Same with a social club where sex is permissible, but not in exchange for money but the club has dues, etc. How can that be punishable under these laws? Just tossing out hypotheticals here.

For example, in TX, judges could offer prayers for judgment requests, knock the charge down to a misdemeanor, make it a fine only, etc. In NC the judges have NO discretion now. It will be a felony and 4 months MINIMUM. That is the least judges can do by law. This means two things, number 1, far worse for mongers. Number 2, enforcement will be far greater in NC because felonies are good for law enforcement. They are less motivated to go after misdemeanors. Guaranteed felonies are going to make this super easy pickings for them.
Another difference, TX got 1 homeland security task force after the new law passed. NC now has 3. Texas has far greater population. For comparison, the entire state of California only has 1. Texas and California have far greater populations and sizes. That should tell you something about the scale of the operation NC is going to have.
Additionally check MmceStep's post about the funding and grants being made available to law enforcement in NC. Nothing near this scale has ever been in done in any other state.
Even with how much better the 2021 texas law was than what's happening in NC, the monger scene is a shell of what it used to be, which says a lot considering it was a fairly thriving place for mongers before.

Texas law also requires an offer to be made. NC is only intent, a much lower barrier.

It seems like providers need to go back to the original meanings of "companion" and "escort", when they advertise "only for their time" and "what happens during that time is between two consenting adults. " Obviously that will mean less clarity on exactly what services are being offered, and much will have to be based on reviews, trying girls out, and bailing at any mention of compensation for services, but I do not see an alternative (other than giving up completely of course).

The girl's POV
So I met up with a friend with benefits the other day. Just a pretty female friend. Private rsidence, so I was far less worried, but still worried nevertheless. While eating her out, I stopped to ask her if she knew about the new law and she had no idea. Had never heard about it. I wasn't a bit surprised, and what followed also was what I expected her to say, "No fucking way I'm ever working with the police!
I bet that's the attitude of a lot of girls in the game. But we shall see.
HB 971 needs to be repealed.
It absolutely does. Possibly the worst law ever passed. Makes no sense for someone to become a felon for consensual sex between two adults.

Being known as the girl that has helped in putting away a lot of guys for buying Sex, Alot of guys who would prob go see the next girl that she knows but no longer can because they is locked up, Might not sit well with these other girls. And out here These girls care more about being able to live to see another day or trying not to get beat up, Rather then helping the police and then the police still treat them like shit and won't protect them against the streets.

2. They're going to offer her $, that's ultimately going to come from you. That's an entirely different calculus.
3. They're going to use a psychologist to make the offer to her. This is to convince her that mongers have been responsible for keeping her down. And that we've been benefitting from using her, an otherwise good girl who might have had a family, a house, and a career if MONGERS weren't keeping her in this cycle. They'll be telling her that the monger will be slapped with a permanent No-Contact Order, so she literally never has to see you or hear from you again. Except in court. They may also make other deals with her to entice her. Dismissing charges, amnesty against future charges, etc. No, she can't be charged with solicitation, but these providers are usually into a lot of other shit.

The authorities are banking these women will sell you out rather than going to prison. If a get out of jail free card is presented, you can bet they'll sell you out before they can rot. These women don't know you.
