GA is trying to pass a new law.

Right now, a first offense of pimping or paying for sex, legally called pandering, is a high and aggravated misdemeanor under Georgia law, requiring at least 72 hours in jail.

The bill makes both crimes felonies punishable by 1 to 10 years in prison, although the bill doesn't bar a judge from suspending a sentence or ordering someone onto probation.

A second offense for either is already a felony. But a judge would now be required to sentence someone to at least a year in prison unless a prosecutor recommends less.

These dudes who keep contacting fake ads are just setting themselves up to get caught up in this crap. This is probably going to apply to the chicks too as well. That's never worked. Instead of legalizing it and making it safer for all involved their solution will be to create more jail space. Actually, they can't do that because even if they wasted the taxpayers money to build more jails they are not able to staff them. So the "solution" will be early release for violent offenders and career criminals while the man trying to get a nut is locked away. Makes perfect sense to me. This is some high IQ bible thumping only possible in the bible belt.

All 16 No votes were Dems. Two Dems voted yes. Three Dems did not vote. Two Dems were absent.

No Republicans voted No, 31 voted Yes. No Republican who was present did not vote. Two Republicans were absent.
