First, some quick shooting tips:

Most people taking pictures with a point and shoot camera set up get real washed out and flat looking pictures because the flash on the camera hits the subject head on and does not allow the light to create depth in the shot. If at all possible, use some side lighting, usually higher than the girl, to help the pictures. Mixing light from table lamps and ceiling lights with camera flash can create some color issues, but not enough to worry about until you really start worrying about fine tuning your shots.

One good tip is to use light filtering in through the windows for a nice look. Face your girl at about 45 degrees to the light to get a nice light - this light needs to be soft, not glaring day light. If you have to use flash, get a flash that mounts on your camera and bounce the flash off of a side wall or the ceiling to get away from that straight on deer in the headlights flash.

One more tip - watch the clutter and the background. Take a white sheet or a black sheet and thumb tack the thing to the wall and have her pose on that.

To the picture at hand.

Aundea's pictures were typical of straight flash. Her butt cheeks were very over lit and the color was washed out.

I started with a duplicate layer and lassoed everything in the background and filled it with black, just to get rid of the clutter. I chose black because the eye naturally jumps to the lightest parts of a picture and since there was not a lot of warm skin tones to work with I thought that this would make the picture pop.

Created a new duplicate layer and on to Aundrea. I cloned out the bumps on her butt with the cloning tool set at 20% and just smoothed them over. Then I went after the brightly lit spots on her butt cheeks with the burn tool and gradually warmed up the skin tones to match the rest of her legs and back. Used a little blur tool to hide my work.

Then I used the dodge tool mixed with the cloning tool to lighten up the shadows along the butt cheeks and also selectively dodged and burned around the peach to give it a little dimension. All of this dodging, burning and cloning is done at 5% to 20 %.

Then I created a new duplicate layer to work on her color. She had a weird green cast like she was under flourescent lights or something. I bumped up the brightness and contrast just a bit. Then I adjusted the colors (very slightly 2% to 10%) bumping up the reds, magenta and a bit of blue. This was done at different levels in the shadows, midtones and highlights. All of the colors are done subtly and just played with until I am happy.

EDIT: I did come back and did some dodging to Aundrea's face and back so that her beautiful face did not just fade away in the black background.

Once I am happy with the picture, I flatten the layers, then gaze lustfully at her.
