Sunday night is the WORST time to go for the reason you experienced. It gets packed with cheapasses and lookie-loos who go at that time just to save a few bucks on the entry. So the place is crowded and uncomfortable and even though its not an action money crowd, there's enough dudes in there to occupy all or most of the dancers, certainly the ones you want to be with.

DVCOI is also the lowest mileage club in COI. That doesn't mean that there aren't some girls working most shifts who will deliver more than just a lap dance, but it is much less reliable for extras than the other COI / Puente clubs. Unless you "bone up" on the dancer reviews on other sites, you will most likely be hooking up with dancers who provide a moderate to low mileage encounter. Also, the DV dancers are the least likely of dancers in high mileage clubs to actually sit down with someone they don't know to build some chemistry and give you a chance to get a read on what they will deliver in private. They almost always just walk by and ask you for a dance and move on immediately if you turn them down. In the other clubs the girls sit down and socialize and quite a bit of mutual molestation can be had in the course of the conversation. You will be harassed to buy them expensive drinks but all you have to do is say no. Sometimes the action at the table is so hot you just may want to buy a ladies' drink just to keep it going. So if you're going to go to DVCOI, I recommend any other time but a weekend night (Fri / Sat just crazy crowded too). Free entry coupons are all over the place including LA Weekly and probably including DVs central website. Except Sunday and some other "happy hours" they've now installed, you will still have to pay a $10 "entertainment fee" which also covers any soft drinks you may want. If you can't afford $10 to walk in a club you can't afford the best of what goes on inside.

VIP in DVCOI is $150 for 30 minutes except for Thursday its $100. Best deal going if you have the right girl and don't mind inadequate VIP facilities. However, Cheapass Sunday sometimes inspires the club to offer $100 specials for a couple of hours in the earlier evening hours. All dances are about 30% longer on Sunday so even paying $150, you'll get 40 minutes in the VIP instead of the usual half hour.

Personally, I recommend Club Synn about a mile away on Valley. Dancer quality can be excellent and is often better than DVCOI which runs hot and cold as really all the clubs do. See my post a few reports down for info on free entry to Synn which really means you will pay $5 at the door for a drink charge. VIPs in Synn are completely private if not a room at the Hyatt. They cost $100/15 minutes or $150/25 minutes which are great bargains considering the talent and mileage available and compared to prices that SCs were charging before the recent price cutting that most clubs are doing to actually compete. More Synn dancers have extras menus than DVCOI dancers and you won't need more than 15 minutes in the VIP in most cases. VIP is discounted to $75 on Thursdays. Synn girls get comfy with you at your booth or table and foreplay happens.

There are 4-5 other choices in COI but Synn is my pick for best balance of hot girls, high mileage and bargain pricing. Good stage dancing too as DV also offers. You really should check out the strip club sites to get a comprehensive overview, dancer rollcalls and reviews.[/QUOTE]Hey Camel,

I have not had the pleasure of having full fun at any of the clubs, the reason I visit mainly is to get my engine going and end up going over to one of the MP afterwards (see my post for Jenny in the SG thread) I usually find a girl that turns me on and take her back when they have the 3 x2 specials and then move on to an MP afterwards.

BTW, after reading my post again now I realized I said "spinners" instead I should of said "lookers" since they were pretty hot.

I'm making my first trip out to LA in probably about 5-6 years. I fondly remember the VIPs and extras with a diverse group of dancers at Hawaii Theater. As a result, I never went anywhere else. Having read through the past 3-4 months of posts, I gather that Synn comes the closest to what HT used to be like? I know I could drive all the way out to Tropical Lei for the HT experience, but, I'd like to stay a little closer to downtown LA.

Would you mind updating me, either via PM or publicly if it's not a big deal out there, about the pricing structure and how I can get my best bang for the buck (literally)?

1) Is it rude to try to start a conversation with a girl when she's walking around during the dance specials? Since the time for the lap dance specials is limited, I feel bad wasting her time when she could be selling lap dances to someone else during that limited time.

2) From the reviews, it seems like a lot of people ask about VIP extras while getting a lap dance. Is this necessary? Couldn't you just ask about them while talking in the couches?

3) Do girls usually ask for extra money on top of the VIP room fee for FS? What if it's the 25-30 minute VIP?

Also, most dancers do not mind talking with customers as long as it results in lap dances. If you just want to talk and don't get any lap dances, that would be considered being cheap & rude.

On Wednesdays (normally $200)).[/QUOTE]To answer Max's specific question about whether Synn is "closest" to the HT experience, I would add that Synn is my current favorite club (the weekday day shifts anyway) as the best balance of lookers, mileage and bargain pricing. Technically Paradise is the closest to the HT experience as virtually every dancer will be game for VHM at the least. However the Paradise dancers are overall less attractive than their Synn sisters and the VIP pricing is higher most days ($100 on Wednesday / Friday but $300 other days the last I saw, though that can be negotiable and hard to believe this anachronistic price is still out there). Paradise also has $150 "fantasy rooms" at all times but they are less private, small and uncomfortable IMO.

You have to hunt with more care at Synn if you want a guaranteed VHM or UHM experience typical to HT as many of the girls there come and go and even some of the established dancers draw no-extras boundaries or offer no more than HM. But $75-100 for a fully private no-extras experience for 15 minutes is still a better deal by far than regular lap dances at most clubs around SoCal.

One big advantage these clubs have over HT and still operating TL is the VIP duration is measured by time and not by the number of songs. If you know HT you recall that song lengths were variable and usually very short left to the whims of the DJ. TL fans are still reporting VIP session lengths at around 7-9 minutes for the 3 song set which IMO is ridiculous for the base price plus tips generally expected at TL.

If you want to line up "sure things" in advance at clubs like Synn and DVCOI which are less universal for availability of extras, check the bonedin dot com site which has detailed reader reviews of a majority of the dancers working the COI clubs along with daily roll calls to let you know who is working.

For comprehensive overall pricing, I'll ask Max to look up a couple of posts I did over the last couple of months which cover that topic.

Bonedin has taken over this subject matter and if you go to that site you'll find all the info you need about Monarchs. It is actually a very nice club with the remodel of the old HT a major improvement in most respects. Only potential problem is very little seating due to how they remodeled it but not a problem now because its half empty most of the time. So empty that they shut down the dayshift and its only opened at night. They no longer charge an admission fee. Only $5 entry at all times which gets you a non-alcoholic drink.

Dancers are mostly quite attractive but overall low mileage right now for COI at least as to the availability of hardcore extras. The dances are cheap: $15 topless; $20 nude and $75 for a private 15 minute VIP. They've had some high mileage dancers pass through but right now they have more eye candy than hardcore providers but there are some. The dances are full contact but the lack of privacy in the topless and nude areas rules out extras for most of the girls. A few of them take better care of you in the private VIP areas but the reviews on the other site indicate that most of them can't be expected to offer a much spicier menu in the VIP. Still, at $75 for a full 15 minutes in private, it's a better deal than most regular lap dances in SoCal.

I was there last night for only the 2nd time with the specific intent to take a tumble with their wildest provider who is one of a kind. Her nasty factor is literally unexceeded in North America. She's as out there as you will ever find and I'd even be surprised if YMMV, but you never know. I met her on my first visit months ago but didn't do a VIP with her then. She's good for and enthusiastic about anything you can imagine and doesn't even ask for a tip. As you might think, she's not the hottest girl working at Monarchs but she's way more than OK for a girl with such an unlimited supply of favors to give out. I ended up with BBBJCIMWS but that's the least of what she has to offer. I won't name her here or via PM so please don't blast my inbox. The info is freely available on the other site.

I have been hitting up DVCOI day shift for a few years know. And the last few months I have been getting pretty burned out. It seems to be the same girls and most of these regulars won't even ask me for a LD because they already know the answer will be no. I have been meaning to try some other clubs but the price at the Vu is right and it is hard to change a habit.

Due to being somewhat cheap I have never done a VIP or even a full nude dance. I pretty much wait for the blue light specials in the topless room. With this program about the only action I get is a negotiated HJ and even that has been kind of rare lately. So anyway I did give the place what I thought might be a last try last week. So I get asked for a LD by a lady who is someone I have danced with about 8 times over the years, but certainly not someone who I have any kind of chemistry with. The dances have always been the same very good but nothing high mileage. So I was a bit shocked when I felt my pants being undone, the next thing you know she is fumbling around in her purse and then applying a condom. She then proceeded with a great BJ, without even a word said. I'm not complaining, just trying to figure out what would be the reason for this sudden change from the usual LD. So I thanked her after the dance and started to walk away just to see if I got some kind of "where the fuck is my tip" reaction. No reaction but I did turn around and hand her a $20 and see seemed happy.

Stopped in ad DVCOI, Sunday afternoons it's free admission, they didn't even hit me up for a drink charge, so I went in, got a Coke, tipped the hot bargirl, flirted for a while, watched some dancers. It was pretty slim pickin's, so apart from tossing a few singles on stage, I wound up getting out of there cheap.

Proceeded on to Paradise, about 5 pm. I got in free from a phone text message, this time with a $5 drink fee. Went inside and there were very few girls indeed. Cecilia sat by me, we had a nice convo in Spanish for a while, but I told her I like the delgaditas, the flacas, and she laughed, said "I guess I'm not qualified, tengo mucho fat" and moved on. Then Sativa came over, we started playing hanky panky very openly at the table for a while. I told her the VIP room is too rich for my blood, so we went to the nude area for a 2-for 1, very satisfying.
