Needless to say, she failed the test. I had the ability to be a real SD but she got greedy! Anyway, the good news, she was wide open for the physical encounters and was willing to hang out for hours before and after taking care of business. (Yes, I said business)

It lasted a few weeks and on an hourly basis I came out ahead, but the quality of the extra hours was not what I wanted because I did not enjoy her company like I do some girls.

I know this sounds weird but the whole arrangement seemed as much or more commercial than seeing an escort. This girl was ready to subordinate her personal life for cash, (small luxuries at that) whereas a lot of our quality girls consider what they do a job and not a total subordination of their personal lives. I learned I respect that approach more than the SD arrangement. I know I may be naive but if I am going to spend more than the occasional hour sweating up a $40 hotel room, I have to have some sort of respect for the person, regardless of whether I pay for it or meet them at church.

I am sure there are nice girls out in the SD world who just need help with some bills and are not looking to fill their closets with coach bags and Uggs, but that was my experience. I have canceled my membership to the site.

I understand what both of you are saying, and IMHO I have to say that I split the difference with you on the timing. I will usually give any well reviewed lady a pass for the inevitable "life happens" moments. However, two times late and you're no good to me. Like Nick I make appointments in advance, but unlike most mongers I also PAY in advance (mine is via Paypal to trusted ladies reviewed on these boards). My only time for a date is when I am at lunch or leave work for a "meeting" or some other excuse that I can't abuse. When I do leave I have no time to spend just sitting around. (No shows with plenty of excuses) Including one reputable agency which I've used frequently which still hasn't responded to a call, text or e-mail a month later. One other was a highly reviewed indy, the other another newby.

The 1 in 4 who did come through was Amber, but she was still an hour late.

I don't remember it being this way even a couple of years ago. I'm thinking the bad economy and the ease of BP has brought girls into the biz who otherwise would be out on the stroll, and brought all their bad habits with them. At the same time the low return on investment has chased away some of what had been usually reliable pro's.

Those who look at it as a temporary quick score don't approach it as a business, aren't that worried about their reps and will happily double book, or be easily distracted by enough cash to go get high and forget all about you until the phone rings.

That's why exceptional reasonable providers like Alexis and Barbie (damn I miss her) are so valuable. I had high hopes for Amber, but I'm seeing some bad signs.
