During good ecconomic periods there are many beds within the department of corrections for pimps and drug dealers. A recient news report says our state is closing prisions and consolidating prisioners into other prisions which will be maxed-out. So starting next year there will be fewer beds which means fewer prosecutors which means fewer LE which means more SW. This is kinda bad news for those new condos in the AAA. If there was even one SW still walking the track, I would never want to live there if I had an extreme rebellious daughter.

Now that the money has dried up, so has the SW's. In Seattle, no LE or prosecutors have been laid off so the arrests should remain about the same. Since drug dealing and pimping have mandatory minimums, those guys will still serve lengthy prison sentences. More likely you'll see the prisons discharging low level drug offenders early, which would increase the number of SW out. Me, I'd like to see the AAA dry up and the hookers re-locate back to the Pepsi Sign / Plaid Pantry area. Much better area to pick up SW without getting spotted, and better parking places closer by.

As I was reading the last few posts about the 90's. I remember those days well. I was out a lot.

Still, if I go out and spend enough time at it I am not disappointed. But there are three cities around I find much better than the Everett to Tacoma run. They are Vancouver (which is not nearly what it was 5 years ago but is still way better than Seattle area) , Spokane (there is more action in a small area of Spokane than there usually is from Everett to Tacoma on a given night) , and Portland. In any of those three cities if I am serious I can get taken care of about three times in a night. That is usually my limit.

The same thing could happen in the Seattle area but that is a rare night and the LE presence is almost always a pain. I have not been to any of those fine cities for a time. I was hoping to get to Vancouver last weekend but had to work on Saturday and that messed up my plans. Maybe soon or maybe a run to Portland.

I say it's because the FBI set up a comand center in Seattle to deal with the UA issue. When the AU are gone those FBI boys will be off looking for Al Capone someplace else. Then things will start to get back to normal. The FBI won't be looking over the shoulders of the Seattle cops so Seattle's priorities will change. Seattle's a liberal town, no one cares about what consenting adults do in private.

I don't think I agree that Seattle (the whole Puget Sound area) has slowed down because of the FBI and their task force. Because it has slowed down a lot for a long time.

Now, it does seem that lately Everett is better than anything further south but it also is slower than it used to be.

Examples. South Tacoma Way from Ponders to almost 38th. This used to be hopping now there is no one. A very occasional find in Ponders or near the 7-11 on 56th but you could spend all day and night out there and not see anyone. Hosmer in Tacoma. Maybe could find someone there on the rare occasion (not as bad is S. Tac Way but bad). Even Pacific which may be the best left in Tacoma is fairly rare for the past 6 months to a year. Tacoma Ave where you used to see 10 girls from 25th to 4th. Now you are lucky to see 1 in several passes. 25th Ave and Puyallup Ave. This place was dried up for a long time but now late at night you might find 1 to 3.

And that is just Tacoma. And all this is not in the past year or two years but has been on the decline for 5 to 10 years at least.

I know in Tacoma a couple of years ago on Pacific Ave a lot of business owners made a lot of complaints and the police stepped up there enforcement.

I just do not think it is a recent thing caused by the FBI being in town.

On the other hand there are sometimes excellent nights. Read my post about the hostess stroll a couple of weeks ago when it was just nuts.

[/QUOTE]I fully agree. Tacoma was Rocking in the 80's, but from some point in the 90's till now has really been a steady decline. Same with Seattle. The girls were 4-5 deep on the blocks of Pike and Pine, but slowly migrated more to Aurora. There were several good years on the AAA till where we are now. It would be interesting to compare the the number of SW in he Seattle area to the number of high paying jobs on a graph, I bet they would be similar.

Then why have the police targeted places like Rick's for years before the Feds got involved? Total hit and miss on all the strolls. Lots of incalls and mostly craigslist, escort, high end action in Vancouver these days, very little to no SW action.

I disagree that Vancouver is the same as Seattle and hit and miss.

There are several strolls and every trip I have made I have found someone in every stroll. I agree it is not what it was say 5 or 10 years ago but it is waaaay better than Seattle. I always see SWs on Kingsway, New West and the Cordova / Hastings stroll. Also, there are almost always a few (not like the old days at all) on the old mid-track and further down Hastings there are often a few.

Also, Surrey always has some talent out.

I wanted to take the trip last week and work piled up which stalled me and now I will not get the chance for another few weeks at least and maybe not until after Christmas.
