And I would beg to differ, I think the city has been highly successful in shutting down the AAA. Eight years ago, the stroll was active 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. You could roll through at noon on a Tuesday and see 8-10 hotties working. Then it became a Fri / Sat night only stroll from about 10 pm to 3 am, but still plenty of girls. Now, you could cruise for 3 hours on weekend nights and perhaps only see 4 or 5 girls and not a single one of them regulars, except perhaps an occaisional Daisy Brown sighting. Before, you were assured of seeing KristinawithaK, Victoria, SweetAshley, Miss Monica Foxxx, Raine, Darla Anne, Chanel, and a host of other regulars who showed up everynight like clockwork. Damn, I miss those days.

I read in a news story that NONE of the UA "prostitutes" were actually working on the Street. It did not even seem to indicate that they were working on Craigslist (or any of the replacements fo CL listings) .

I am venturing a guess that either they were "working" for drug dealers, or in drug houses (where the SPD has caught UA providers "working" before) . Or possibly a more sophisticated "ring" that provides "special" providers for $$$$pecial Clients. It is also possible that the UA providers were foreign born. However, that last guess would be at odds with Media "reports" that many of these UA providers had been recruited at the Westlake Center?

The whole story seems odd, and very sensational. If there are any UA providers working the streets, there are very few of them, and the Local PD cracks down on them AND any mongers VERY HARD! I find it hard to believe that Seattle provides 1/3 One THIRD of "ALL" UA providers in the USA! And further that the Westlake Center is a "hot bed recruting area"? While there are Some teenagers who go down there, Bellvue Square, South Center, Northgate, and other Malls would seem to be more likely. There is not even a movie "cineplex" or many shops likely to attarct teens.

Not to mention a LOT of resources commited to less than 100 arrests nation wide!

It does seem the streets of King County are nearly empty of providers, and I am guessing its more than just the weather keeping them away!

Damn, I miss those days.[/QUOTE]I think I was searching for : Prostitution in Seattle, on Google for a form like this one sense the AAA and Hostess are down to about 15 SW on Friday or Saturday 12:00am-3:00am. With the lastest FBI sting the search results are looking very different. Long story stort, I can't find it now. I do believe the report had some merit. In my crude laymans oppion, I think the laws of supply and demand work both ways. Many SW will attract many dollars and many dollars will attract many SW. After skimming the report, I had the impression the city was concurned over the amount of money driving around and around looking for SW. Back to my claims of reading reports. I read a report last February or April where the city was doing a little braging about it's success in shutting down the AAA. But by September SW were in the range of 20 or so. So the city was doing some brain storming to access why SW came back to AAA in September. They atributted it to demand.

Our primary founder, Doc Maynard was marginally successful in embedding prostution into Seattle's economy. In compairing the quanity and quality of SW between Seattle and many citys in the mid-west. It seems as through some of Doc Maynard is still here in Seattle. You know I'm kind of of an outsider looking in, but I think there may have been thousands of workers over the years that either stayed in, or migraded to Seattle's ecconomy motivated by the availability of SW here.

There were 2 pimps in King County Jail on Monday, about 5 men for rape of a child. 3 SW for prostitution and 3 SW for drug charges, all picked up over the weekend

[/QUOTE]First, There are many UA's working the streets. Anymore, I hardly ever pick up in the AAA or Hostess on the weekend because it's hard to find one that looks like she's definately over 18. I'll pass on five just to pick up one. The local PD maybe cracks down a little harder than it used to, but the UA's still get plenty of business.

Westlake Center is a hotbed recruiting area. Why not the big malls you ask? Because runaways usually end up downtown near Westlake Mall. Greyhound drops them off just a few blocks away. Plus all the services for runaways are downtown. At Southcenter not so much. So it's not the shops or movies attracting these teens, it's where they've ended up.

Also, according to the news yesterday, while Seattle had 1/3 of the arrests, they don't have 1/3 of the UA prostitutes, it just that Seattle is much more active in finding them and getting them off the streets.

And I do realize you are a senior member sir, but your report regarding the AU at AAA and Hostess is total B. S. When I say I pass 4 or 5 for everyone I pick up, I'm speaking over a period of weeks usually, most Friday and Saturday nights I haven't been able to find a decent gal that looks of age. And there seems to be a different group each week; even with the women I wasn't picking up, I start to recognize faces; that isn't happening anymore.

As far as the pimps go, it's possible they went to the federal detention center in Seatac. I don't know if the local jail online resources include intake for that facility.

Seems that if seattle has 1/3 of the girls and portland has half Then the math of people who write the stores adds up like congress spends out money. I just do not see the numbers of girls out there. Maybe in Seattle but not in Portland. Oh well. They have to sell the papers somehow. At least maybe they are enticing other mongers to come out and search. Headed to Seattle this comming week. Of the girls I have talked to who no longer frequent the AAA, they site lack of money as the issue. Back in the day they were making $1, 000. 00 a night. Now, girls are about half that if they are lucky. Interesting though, I was talking to an out of towner who said she was making killing down there. It could be because she is a new face or pickings are so slim that guys pick her up right away, fearing they won't get a 2nd chance.

I've had a couple of sightings of a bleach-blond (dark roots showing) , not bad looking, always on the QT in jeans and sweatshirt-type attire. Definitely working though. Ring a bell for anyone? It's not Leggs who use to be in that neck of the woods. This one looks much healthier.

The SW: Custody / Facility: Seattle Correctional Facility.

Not sure if the pimps and prostitutes that were in jail Monday were in due to the sting.

As for the AU, everything is always kept private.

I know I have cut back big. I hear now the money is in the small towns around the country. Stay a few days then move on. Though, the collapse of the CL Adult Section and an heightened police interest in the out of town internet business, will probably dry that well up fast.
