Despite the fact that big government can be a downer at times, the FDA does (occasionally) look out for our well being. The dyes used in pharmaceuticals approved for sale in the US are food-grade and tested to be safe for human consumption. Drugs manufactured in other countries (read as: India or China) don't have as stringent policies regarding what compounds can be used as "fillers" or "colors. " Case in point, in the past, I did purchase vitamin-V manufactured by an Indian pharma company. While it gave me the raging hard-on of my youth, it also caused a rather nasty allergic response that forced me to seek medical treatment. (I'm not into suffocation or choking play, but that's what it felt like.) During the consult with my doc, he informed me that the culprit was likely the fact that the "generic" V was dyed blue using something closer to printer's ink than dye. Printers ink can include some pretty toxic compounds that can cause worse things than an allergic reaction, so I consider myself lucky that all it took was an Epipen to resolve my issue.

Bottom line, you get what you pay for. V that costs you less than your average OTC pain killer may or may not: a) actually give you wood or b) cause other nasty side-effects. You might get lucky, or you might not. Just be VERY cautious with what you purchase online. If possible, try to ensure that it's not a generic manufactured in India or China. Yes, that means that it comes at a premium to ensure it's from a reputable pharmaceutical company. I was using the Indian generic, Suhagra, 100 Mg, cut in half to get 50 mg dose. All Day Chemist. At the time, they were selling 80 100 mg pills for $54 + $25 express shipping. Express means ten days. Paid with my regular Visa card. I have not bought any in 6 months, so I didn't know about the CC issue.

PS: I got a call a week ago from some Indian fellow talking about the Ink danger as a ruse to sell his stuff. I suppose there might be some problem pills out there, but mine have not caused any adverse symptoms.
