If there is any quantity of SWs or any significant amount of mongering activity LEO will be all over it like white on rice. A year or so before I left, DPD had an article in the DDN that their Central district had the lowest crime rate (Central is pretty much the downtown area). Shoot why not. Business people in offices or stores during the day and people who want nothing to do with LE at night and wouldn't report a crime to save their lives.

The only thing I really miss about Dayton over Southeastern VA is the mongering. Bible belt morality keeps the streets relatively clean.

To the contrary, people are whiners. They will piss and moan for any reason. Unless there is no reason. And that is the case here. I spend a lot of time in this area and I know it well. It's not perfect, but it is practically crime free. Comparable to Centerville, Springboro, or the like.

Thought that I would report about an incident I witnessed on 3 on Monday. I was eastbound and there was a black pick-up truck pulled to the curb on the other side (westbound ). The driver was talking to a lady thru his passenger window as she stood by the curb. Then, all of a sudden, the woman high-tailed it to the front of his truck and took a pic of his license plate with her cellphone. Well, I was now passing them but caught a look in my rear-view as I witnessed the man jump out of his truck, the woman walked at a fast trot away with the man in chase. I know that it created a ruckus with other folks in the area. I think, from what I could see, that he caught up with her but I have no idea what happened. Just wanted to forwarn.
