WaltK is giving sage advice. Never, ever talk with the police. You are not required to and they cannot force you. "I will not talk with you without my lawyer present. " It is amazing how many people get busted just because they either don't know or think they can talk themselves out of it. I will add one more instruction: Deny, deny, deny. Make them prove it. These cases do not have high priority and while they may hassle you a bit, if it ain't easy (as in you incriminating yourself) they will drop it.
