Was driving from Santa Monica to SD Thursday night / Friday morning for the holiday weekend and decided to cruise the tracks. Sunset was dead. Decided to try Western and Fig. Both had a few scattered girls, but none worth noting and not very many. What I did notice was LE everywhere (about 4 on western and 6 on fig). I've been busy so I haven't had time to post. Any who, I went to fig at around 130 am and there was some action. I noticed about 6 or 8 SW's on the corner of 91st. Yesterday morning on Fig at 91St they did a crosswalk sting where they were busting people for not stopping for people in the crosswalk. The decoy was a middle age LE with a typical walrus type mustache wearing shorts, t-shirt and baseball cap only thing was he was white and finding a white person in that neighborhood is odd in itself. On both sides of the street there were tow trucks lined up as well as about 15 motorcycle officers. This started at about 7AM and lasted till noon. Later in the sting they used a local black guy who seemed to be enjoying walking back and forth. Needless to say they were towing lots of cars and hooking people up. I'm sure this won't be the first on Fig and won't be the last so keep your eyes open.

It's a vehicular moving violation, but I can't find anywhere in the vehicle code where they are allowed to confiscate your vehicle for it! Its a cite and go violation just like blowing through a redlight or a speeding ticket.

That's what is getting their car towed.

Now peeps are getting towed? I have to agree Marlowe, the people getting towed must of had some violation before getting that ticket as well, like you said suspended license, no registration, even possible warrants they had outstanding. You'd be surprised how many people drive around like this! Any SW's out at least?
