The other notels have some pretty ugly reviews from trip advisor. There's a Days Inn on Rte 10 in Hamden. Haven't tried it, but it looks like they can handle short stay. Lastly is a place up in Cheshire that'll do short stay (Red Carpet Inn?). Milford has a couple too.
