Russian and American MP's
Individual practitioners seemed varied, but the parlors much less so. The Russian ones I remember were more baltimore county than howard.
In the past, about every 5 years, Howard county would sweep the asian places and they would all be shut down for 3 - 6 months, and then open again, sometimes a new name, always a new manager, but usually in the same location. Individual places sometimes became sufficiently notorious, they would be shut permanently, but that was the exception. (This probably has at least something to do with most of HoCo establishments not (generally) being FS, as it was the unabashedly FS places that were typically the ones to not re-open).
Howard county a long while back had a stream of 'american' massage parlors, but each one was short lived. They'd open and in a matter of months they'd be shut down quietly (after a near miss?) or with news reports of a bust. A few moths later another would open, repeat until they gave up. I haven't seen or heard of an american parlor nearby for a long time. The couple of american parlors back then that lasted a while were not FS. I wondered if it was some sort of police racism "We don't care what those foreigners do, but we can't have pure, virtuous, local girls doing that sort of thing!" Or if the asian places had better lawyers or were more skilled at bribes, or something similar?
There was a Russian place near Ellicott City I visited several times back in the 90's. I believe they may have moved to another location near the Maryland fairgrounds north of Baltimore. Or perhaps I'm thinking of some other place.
I recall visiting several American MP's in and around Columbia back in the 90's. That was in an era when there were plenty of American MP's, not only in Howard County but in and around Baltimore, DC and south central Pennsylvania. I lost my MP cherry at an American place near Gettysburg, PA almost 30 years ago.
