Thanks to Cartog for a very interesting read. I guess LEO is no better a speller or grammarian than most of the posters here. Nice insight non the less.

I agree with Hold, it isn't hard to beet the money laundering charges - just don't do it. With all the profit just pay the taxes. Get a shredder and dispose of used "supplies" responsibly - you don't need a Harvard MBA for that.

The promoting prostitution is harder to hide effectively. After all it is prostitution and that is not legal. But then again, that is only a few months of jail time.

The tough nut is engaging in a pattern of corrupt activities. And that's the long pole in the tent when it comes to jail time. I guess you do need a Harvard JD for that one.

Still, I think I could do a better job of managing the business and the risks than Pepsi and Candy did. Not that I'll ever get a chance to try.

Just when I'm about to be in Springfield for 5 nights in a couple weeks I read this shit.

Havn't spoke with you in awhile, glad your still plugging along. I've been burned both times I tried CL in the springfield area. Then I started hitting mikos. So that WAS the plan. lol

Went through Springfield the other day and drove by both the now-closed AMPs. Both the houses are all boarded up with plywood over all the windows and doors. There's a big DO NOT ENTER sign on the doors. Didn't stop to read the fine print, but I'm sure it's a police notice.

I suspect LEO is going to go for asset forfeiture, so they want to make sure no one breaks into the buildings until they can go through the process and take title to the properties.

It always seems like these things happen in election years. Obviously the politicians have been putting pressure on the cops, who I suspect would rather be chasing real criminals, but the squeaky wheel .....

Unlikely there will be anything in the area for years. SWs get picked up, arrested, do a little jail time (maybe) and are back out again. But it looks like the attacks on the AMPs are serious (and at least semi-permanent).

Sigh.....

Just read the report about Springfield AMPS. Seems to be an odd situation with the Feds involved and a 2-year investigation.

I'm curious about the "surveillance" in the report. Are they going to try and go after those who "knocked on the door"? I don't think they have much to go by but I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of that happening?

I remember a few years back a place in Columbus got busted and they kept a ledger of names and services rendered but I don't think anything came of it.

They are probably squirming a bit and hoping like hell that they don't appear on the FBI's "pole camera" that was place at Miko's.

Since they now have the place shutdown and unfortunately the ladies face prison time, I doubt that they would go after those appearing on the surveillance, but who knows.

It would all be circumstantial and never stand up in court. The prosecutors wouldn't even look at it, except, of course, for some political gain. LEO couldn't even push that one if they wanted, which I don't think they really do. It's just a big political circus. It comes to some town every four years.

In today's world, you just never know when you are being viewed by some surveillance or security camera. So be careful out there.

The real downside here is that competition is reduced, thereby driving up the prices for those who remain in the game. Have you noticed some of the prices on Eros? How's a poor fellow on unemployment supposed to enjoy himself if he has to pay $350 an hour for some stress relief? Life's a ***** ain't it?? Stay safe boys.

The complaint against Candy said that there were 224 visits to Mikos the first 21 days in July. The pole cameras according to the police report said the cameras were installed 10/09. Even with probably most of the customers being repeaters you would think hundreds of cases would have to be filed.

Does not sound practical and I don't know if they can just pick and choose. Does anyone know if these two are out on bail and when the trial may be?

And if they did get me on camera, I was just there for the massage! lol
