I am thinking of doing a solo mission in Feb.
Question, regarding PedWest, I have only used it to come back. Can I enter MX from there also? I usually park at the Border Station parking lot.
Also, from recent visitors, coming back using PedWest, was it fast? If I remember correctly, we crossed back at around midnight with no line on a Thursday night / Friday morning. Still holds true?
Yes you can cross it going in. Usually that's the faster crossing but time and day may vary.

You can use PedWest to enter Mexico, but it's closed after 10 PM. PedEast is open 24/7 for crossing into Mexico.
For crossing back to the US both PedEast and PedWest are open 24/7, and are fast late at night, usually only a few people taking 5 to 10 minutes max.

I omit some details but this is pretty much it. If you plan to stay longer, like three day weekend, Otay Mesa is always cheaper, just a ways away but usually the parking there is $10. I normally leave my car there when I fly out of Tijuana.

I am more concerned on coming back. When you have a bladder the size of a peanut and a few beers worth of liquids inside of me, standing around for hours with no facilities is not a option. Haha.
Actually, I just want to cross back over within a reasonable amount of time so I can get some sleep so I can be back in the office, semi-conscious Friday morning.

I did have to wait through a bit of a line going into Mexico (afternoon entry). You're probably fine.
Also, I am from the OC, but my trip report is in the San Diego Tijuana thread. Anyone interested in details should look there.
A couple guys car pool, usually Wed or Friday, leaving OC about 6 PM, stay until midnight and arriving back about 1:30 AM. That gives you about 4.5 hours on site to mingle, party with and screw 3 or 4 bar girls or street girls. You can look, inspect, squeeze, grope, poke, kiss, talk to bar girls before you decide whom to take to bed. You have more time to get acquainted with the girls and have much higher chances of getting hot sessions in bed.
With escorts you only have a few pics, which may not be authentic or recent. Escorts require more time and you really don't know if the girls in the pics will show. You have to wait at a hotel outside of La Zona Norte, may be downtown, and they are usually late with fake pics and bait and switch problems. Potentially you will need 4 to 6 hours for a session with an escort if everything works out with no major problem. You really should stay overnight if you want to wait around for escorts. I would do escorts only when I stay over on long weekends with long stretches of time open.
A couple guys are going tonight, late about 7:30 PM, coming back about 2 AM.

For some reason, every time I go, I can never remember all the fine details like you did. It all becomes a blurr after the 4th beer. Haha.

I've never crossed through PedWest. Looks like on Google Maps, the bridge crosses over Tijuana River is right at the exit. Any of you walk it to Coahuila? I am a culture guy and always walked around all the places I have visited in the world taking in the local scenery, when it's safe and in the daytime of course.

[/QUOTE]I'm sure you could. I mean, the Hotel Cascadas is plainly visible from PedWest. (Granted, it's bright red and the tallest building in the Zona.).
I walk it most of the time, just be aware when crossing the riverbed. Takes about 15-20 minutes, not bad I've walked alone and in groups but I always keep my surrounding in check.

From PedWest you have to walk through an empty shopping plaza, up the stairs, over the long foot bridge across the Tijuana river towards El Arco.
That's Freedom Path, used to be fun, interesting, colorful, crowded and lively, full of unique Mexican scents and flavors with tacos shops, gift stores, bars, farmacias, trinket carts, and lots of visitors wandering on foot. But after 2008 it's mostly deserted and dark after sundown. Most stores have closed down. I have seen quite a few scruffy, bearded, filthy migrants sleeping in the stair wells and the narrow alleys of the Mercado de Artesnnia. They are hungry, desperate and drugs addicted. Potentially they can do anything to get their fixes.
The official taxi and UBER rates from the border to HK on Coahuila is only 50 pesos, or about $2. 70. It saves you lots of time, walking, sweating and big potential exposures to crimes. Take taxis to and from the border and Coahuila, save some huffing, puffing, help the local economy, secure yourself from crimes to live and monger another day!
