Mugshots site scraped them before they were removed, we are lucky to have St Pete Times on the job! Without them we might never have known LE was up to something.

This thing with addresses removed I have seen before, with the Internet though, you can find anything you want to know.

Another reason their address is ommitted is if they are employed in some capacity of law enforcement. This would include cops, judges, attorneys, prison guards, even parole officers. This would help stop some idiot who is hell bent on seeking some type of revenge against someone they feel fucked them over. Also, if you personally know a cop or know where one lives, or others in law enforcement, try looking their house up on property tax records. You will be told that no such property exists.

Another reason to ommit the address is if the person arrested is a victim of domestic violence and does not want her ex to know where she lives.

I'm just wondering why, when I click on a member's name and go to their profile that it no longer gives their stats. It used to display start date, last post, posting status and other info. Am I missing something?

Smut[/QUOTE]Oh, so that's not only happening to me! I was thinking that I was put on a short leash for giving EH such a hard time recently. Losing that info access does suck. It was a good way to help decide if a member is experienced or not, reliable, an ass clown, or too new to know any better. Bad move if it's permanent.

Regarding avatars: This is a website for grown men. It is not a website for women, children or teenagers. Thus we do not have florescent colors, splashy graphics, flaming logos, or pretty little cartoon pictures of ourselves.

No disrespect to you Jackson. IMHO, being able to see "join date" shouldn't be that invasive for member privacy.

I agree about the concerns for member privacy. Plus you can still click on their profile name and select profile. Once there you can still see all the posts they have commented on or even started. And if you look at their name within a post in a forum it has the number of posts they have done as well as their member rank.

As for privacy, adding details to a profile was optional. Any member who chose to add contact info, employment, or residency details acted both carelessly and foolishly.

Of course I agree that running this thing must be tiresome and thankless. It's Admin's court, we just play ball here.

It's Admin's court, we just play ball here.[/QUOTE]I agree that it was easier when a join date was shown on a Members profile to judge their 'worth', but if you view their posts in their profile, you can easily see when their first post was made and then form your own opinions on their contribution rate. In my case, being a UK resident who only gets to visit Fl for about 5 weeks a year, my post rate is not great and most are comments rather than 'groundbreaking'. Of course we can also see the Member who posts 10 times a day in an effort to secure the confidence of fellow Members.
