Have not seen this specific provider, but have been involved in hobby long enough to have experienced several different versions of this. After varying lengths of time but well before scheduled end time, provider gets call and says needs to end appointment early because someone close to her has been taken to ER, arrested, needs urgent ride, etc. --then promises to "make it up to you" in future. Not surprisingly have never received any such reciprocation. And when discretely observing afterward like you, have only seen provider actually leave then once.
