Behind eagle cafe on nimitz. Have all the korean bars move all in one place away from the nicer town areas. Good idea / concept. But it never caught on.

It would have worked if was like Japan; take taxi and nobody drives while drinking because of the stiff penalties. A bar district concept would work if everything within walking distance and transportation costs weren't so expensive. Just my opinion.
Is it true that both Splash and Starlight will have a grand opening on July 5, 6, & 7? Haven't seen anything in the Star Advertiser. Only been hearing it through the KBG wireless.

I stopped by Ashley's place on way home to buy her a Good Luck Drink and she said opening was Yesterday. The former Vietnamese owner took out some big screen tv's and there was a flap over that and the fish tank is gone. Was one of the few things in that place besides the bathroom I liked. Anyway saw Han and her friend there guess they moved over from Splash.
Splash opening was last night as well had fresh corned beef, Chicken, salad, fried rice etc. To answer you both. Go support the Korean Economy and go spend some money and find out. Be safe guys and watch out as always for the guys and gals in blue.

Wow,. Talk about recycle. Went there and saw just a few I've never seen before. Had to tiptoe in there to prevent getting shot by them stray bullets. I got 3 partners there. Think I just better go on Sunday's or daytime and stay with my friend Johnnie Blue.
At least I think the name is still Starlight. Anyway Ashley's new place on Sheridan St. Stopped by Thurs arriving 7:45 leaving about 10 p. Sat at the bar with good view of activity and the door. When I arrived the bar was packed with the usual suspects there for the free grand opening food leaving minimal tips on departure. Night shift bartenders were Rain and Mini (Min Hee). They both spent the entire time I was there sitting outside the bar with customers. Dae Woo was the barback so bar service was excellent. Ashley of course was present and did her best to be the welcoming Mama. BUT despite this being the 3rd night of the Grand Opening there was in my opinion a surprising lack of girls. There was however a nice contigent of Chinese girls (4). This would include Wendy previously at Splash and briefly 904. Add in a few (very few) been around the block KBG's and that was the extent of the talent. I would have thought that this opening would have attracted a few more girls wanting to at least check it out. But not so. I like Ashley and wish her the best but this luke warm start does not bode well.

Too much food as always. I'm not much of an eater heresay but damn too much. Heading west to EC in Kalihi. Again way too much grind age to the point of having to take it home except for them big oysters which was ono. Free? Idk nuttin is free for you free loading no tipping frickas. No worries we always get good grinds no matter where we go. No worries you not messing up stuff for those that appreciate.
You know, I've seen these cheapskates at the anniversaries, grand openings. And can't fathom why the staff still serves them. Some of the girls I know tell me fuck them. They want this, they want that and they leave a couple dollars after feasting on steak, shrimp, poke. The girls don't serve them, so they go and sit at the bar. The bartenders avoid the cheapskates, so they have the barbacks serve them. Either buy the barbacks a few drinks for serving you, or drop a good sized tip starting with $20.

There is talk of a Blue Sea 2 at an undisclosed location (probable, but highly unlikely, imo) at this time; no make sense but that's when things usually work. I had referenced encountering Cheap Charles in prior posts and often wonder how they possess the audacity to behave as beggars and paupers in a retail business establishment; being real cheap is often the product of a sickness; emotionally disturbed. I ain't no big spender but pay my way (and more) so that I no owe anybody anything and can go anyplace without regrets.
