From your accurate description of my person, I had three angry WSG members calling me up asking why I came to DC and didn't give them a call. Unfortunately, the happy goofball was another... Anyone know the current status of Downtown? Will be in DC on Sunday, thought I would go out for some fun.

I am staying near the MCI Center and was unable to find the Sun Spa. Does anyone know the street address? Once I find it I hope to give a fresh review.

Looks like somebody read these forums very thoroughly to close AMPs.
As of two days ago Downtown was closed.
However, I have been out and about a bit, and it seems to me that all this is overblown. Mirage is open, Olympic is open, Sun is open...and more to the point, we don't know why the ones that are closed, are closed.
I know some have posted that it had to do with this being an election year, but personally I am VERY skeptical of that explanation for two reasons. First, there has been absolutely ZERO publicity from the cops about this. If they were trying to toot their horn, they'd be doing so. We would have articles in the paper about how they are cracking down. We don't.
Second, the ones that have closed down recently (i.e. Downtown) are not in residential areas and it doesn't seem to me that there are any neighbors around it would would have complained.
For all we know, the ownership of the places that are closed has just decided to move on to other business. We really have no idea.
I will leave it at this: there *are* AMPs open in DC right now and things at the ones that are open are more or less normal, in my view anyway.
The reason why some are closed is they are more cautious. A new bill has been proposed to get rid of all these places in DC. If it passes it will shut down all of them. They will become like the old bars during prohibition back room establishments. They are keeping it quiet as they want to get as many as they can including owners. That is what my connection at Downtown told me. They will open next week, check Sunday, but they will re-open.
I lived in DC area for a number of years, since the 50's and I can tell you that these things are like the business cycle. I remember when there were lots of nudie bars downtown and then suddenly they all seemed to be shutdown and/or go out of business.
But the one thing you can be sure of is that the people who own these spas have their ears to the rails. They have connections and if there is a bill in the works which will make the spas illegal and ultimately drive them out of business, then the spa owners will be among the first to know. So if that is what is happening, then any owner with sense is going to try to sell out as soon as possible while they still have a chance of recovering some of their investment. I'm not sure whom they would sell to, but that's what I would guess is going on.

I am staying in the Metro Center Area until Tuesday. I took a walk to the Downtown Spa on Vermont this afternoon. After the obligatory 4th floor walk-up I was told that they were short staffed and would not have any openings until Wed. The moral is to call first. At least they are up and running. I did see a report by Laxman #2 that Sun Spa by the MCI center was open. I must have walked two miles up and down all of the side streets trying to find it. Perhaps some one could give me a hint!
Any other suggestions on some cheap action within walking distance would be appreciated. I am right by Capital City Brewing Company and the OLD Washington Convention Center.

I was going to check out other AMPs because I thought Downtown was still closed. I drove by Downtown in hope that it was open, and it was.
The mamasan seemed happier than usual. I hope this is a good sign.
After the usual fee paid to the house I was presented with a cute woman named Pinky. She looked to be about mid 20s, nice figure with real knockers (A real plus in my book). I would rate her a solid 8 in the looks department.
We proceeded to the TS and she scored about average there. Not great, but I have definitely had worse. She at least took her time, yet didn't really spend too much time on the wedding tackle.
Went back to the room where she proceeded with the massage. She used oil which I really liked and she took her time. I would rate the massage above average, perhaps a 7. She didn't walk on my back and was not as hard as I wanted.
She asked whether I wanted Everything and I apparently was too eager because my response drew some laughter. I guess it has been a while. She proceeded to a pretty nice CBJ, then to some decent cowgirl action then a bit of mish and I drove it home with some doggie....Got too good of a look at myself in the mirror on the last portion. I need to drop a few lbs. She didn't rush, yet after a while I could tell she wanted the curtain to fall so I decided to finish the deed.
Overall a typically good Downtown experience. I hope I won't have to wait as long between sessions again.

Man, it's been a while since I looked at this board and there sure are a lot of new guys, the majority of which seem to have heeded the advice of others who had gone before them and clearly RTFF'd and some had good stuff to offer so I say Bravo to you guys.

Hit the K & L loop tonight. It's been a while since I last went out and it seems the girls are trying to raise the stakes on us a little. I started out around midnight and the pickin's were slim. Two decent BSW's with phat asses. I stopped for the first girl and she wouldn't get in the car, preferring to discuss business from outside the car. The LE presence tonight was scarce, wich was a nice change. Maybe it's because it was Saturday and they had other matters to attend to, but it was nice. There was a heavy monger presence though. I attribute that to Saturday night as well. Note to self: Don't bother on Saturday night, too crowded. To those who've been mongering lately , what's the deal out there? I only saw two old faces and the new girls seem to think they're holier that thou, so to speak, with these high prices. Anyone have any input?
I haven't been at downtown DC in 7 months. Is the street scene in the District dead? They always had beautiful girls, most of them in the 7+ range. Is it all gone?

Good news and not so good news. As of Saturday afternoon, Downtown is open again. I called before venturing out and was advised to come on down.
I got there and was greeted by the Mamasan (can’t remember her name but she remembered me. Every time I see her I think she is kind of hot.) When asked why they had closed she said that other places had had problems and that they closed as a precautionary measure “I don’t want any trouble”. Kimchi, you seem to have good intel on this, do you know anything more? Not that it matters much as things seem to be getting back to normal.
The not so good news is that they only have two providers and the one I had, Gigi, was lackluster at best. I won’t go into the details as it was not a typical Downtown experience. I would not recommend Gigi. On the way out I asked Mamasan if Mimi and Maya were coming back. She said maybe and asked me to return soon as she expected to have more girls in shortly. I will wait awhile to return to let her rebuild that all star staff.

There seems to be some confusion about the location of Sun Spa near the MCI Center. In his very comprehensive and helpful post of 1/2/04, LoveLos lists the address as 701 6th St NW 2nd Floor. I think the address is actually 528 G Street NW with the entrance on 6th immediately across from the MCI Center.
Forget the address, to get there find the Burger King at 5th and G NW. Walk the short block towards the MCI Center and turn right on 6th. About 10 yards from the corner before the construction site is a metal door with a buzzer. Ring, go in and up the stairs and you're there.
Tip: For you local AMP mongers, as I posted in the past the management offers a frequent visitor discount card. Every 10th visit the house fee is free. Four more to go!

I will be coming to DC over the Memorial Day weekend. I have read up on all the AMP's and I have made an appointment with a escort that I have seen on ***. My question is after the AMP's and my escort date are there any really good clubs or bookstores that would offer extra milage? I sometimes like a little raunchy clubs or bookstores.I post on the NW Inadian board and we have a bookstore there that is one that you must go see.Please pm with any information.
