On how to reconstruct backpage links
I posted this under a different subforum. People found it to be useful so let me post it here since it is about backpage.
If you see a broken backpage link due to bad formatting etc. You can reconstruct that yourself in most cases.
For example, in this long link.
http://chicago.backpage.com/WomenSeekMen/snow-bunny-alert-1-%E2%83%A30-%E2%83%A30-%E2%83%A3-me-sexy-cassie-lynn-773-886-9430-real-pics/53965027
That English sentence starting with 'snow-bunny....' embedded in the link does not matter. The following is an equivalent one.
http://chicago.backpage.com/WomenSeekMen/blah/53965027
Or even better, you can remove the 'blah' (but need to keep the two slashes).
http://chicago.backpage.com/WomenSeekMen//53965027
Even the section is not required. The following will do. (you can not leave the section part blank, put something there like X).
http://chicago.backpage.com/X//53965027
So all you need is 'Chicago' and the post number 53965027 and you can put together the full url.
This can come in handy if the links don't work due to some misformatting but you can still see it is a chicago one and the post number.
The post numbers are specific to cities so you can not leave out the city.
This works for other cities as well, not just for chicago.backpage.com
(disclaimer: backpage can change how strict they want to be with links, so this idea may not work in the future)
