This is very common for Asian people, including the women, to squat very low when no chairs are available.
I first saw this during the year I spent in Korea, hence the nickname "Kimchee Squat." I remember early on, seeing them do this, assuming they can get wild if on top. I wasn't wrong.
But years later, married to a Filipina, I've seen them squat like this too.
And whether it's "cause and effect" of the dark, bruising marks, I can't say. But, yes, many of them, including my wife, has similar dark areas on their asses.

Something to keep in mind is that this is an election year. Yes, I know that every year is an election year in Virginia thanks to quirky state laws providing for state and local elections in odd-numbered years. However, this year we're electing the county board of supervisors, the Commonwealth's Attorney, sheriff, and both houses of the General Assembly. Don't be surprised if local officials decide at some point, especially between now and the primaries in June, to make it seem as if they're doing something about "human trafficking," which we all know is a BS excuse for cracking down on consenting adults activity simply because an exchange of money is involved. So carry on but be extra cautious like our brother monger.
Edited to add: If actual human trafficking is going on, then yes, bring charges. But if the powers that be are simply labeling consenting adults activity as 'human trafficking," then they can go jump in the lake. Or, better yet, solve some of the actual crime taking place in the area.
