If we met at an AA meeting we bring that background to our interaction with each other and how it will be viewed by others including official-dom. That sounds pretty legit to me and is easily explainable. Even if we keep our mouth shut and explain nothing, two people meeting for the first time at AA and ending up in the sack at her house adds up to nothing other than it's too bad they have a drinking problem and good they are working on it.

But if we found each other on an escort message board or by responding to her adult advertising the color changes dramatically. House, hotel room, car doesn't change a thing.

Said she was as described, a real GFE with no hassles. In fact, it was to the point of being dangerous because he said she was the kind of girl who was such a friendly sweetheart (with little drama and a real job (!) , someone could easily make the mistake of falling for her.
