Same problem here... Slow and sometimes unresponsive.
There seems to be an excessive amount of redirecting going on in the background of the site. Where it's redirecting is unknown but I know it's part of the problem.

After checking out the Richmond forum (excellent forum. No doubt), I registered in SA.
In last weeks, I got close to 10 responses, out of which I have met 3 already.
As mentioned by you there are lot of SPs. But once you filter out, you get nice college girls who are hot like hell. I am spending 2-3 times of my BP spending but this SB experience is unmatched. I talked to couple special ones who start at upwards of $ which is way too much. (Don't know who spends this much in Michigan).
Looks like I will settle with one of the SBs whom I have already met and return to BP to manage my hobbying budget.

I know this forum's subject matter doesn't include bookstore activity, but I'm curious about the bookstore on Woodward, south of 6 Mile.
