Yeah, if they are testing regularly, you are safer from getting anything, but the same can't be said for you not infecting them. However, I've had the most success with NordVPN using nodes which are based in western Europe. Strangely, Finland has a high success rate of about 75%. Netherlands is down to maybe 10%. Sometimes it's trial and error. If one node doesn't resolve, then disconnect and try another until you get one which isn't blocked.
