I've been in this hobby for 10+ years and I've never seen it this crazy! From the 90% scam ads on STG to most of our local providers seeming like they just don't care. Most successful approach to weeding out the majority of fake ads on STG that I have found is to use the keyword search function. I have tried words as well as phone area codes. What seems to work the best is the city name. I have found in Fort Wayne that simply using the word Wayne works well. That way you get all ads that have Ft Wayne or Fort Wayne somewhere in the ad. With only an occasional exception most real ads have the city name somewhere in the ad. Most fake ads do not list a specific city. I tried using area codes but missed a lot of real ads that do not contain the phone number in the actual ad.
