I walk that bridge 2-3 times a week since probably June and no issue. With Christmas coming soon I would highly suggest this route as you're sure to get stopped on the pedestrian bridge.

OK. Bridge mystery solved. I saw that bridge, but, didn't see any pedestrians on it. So assumed there was no sidewalk. Next time I'll try it.

Mexico does not celebrate the holiday so it is pretty much business as usual. Thursday nights should be ideal although I hardly do weekday trips down in the zona anymore. I wouldn't hesitate to come from out of town worried because it might be slow. Christmas on the other hand is a whole different story. Christmas eve, Christmas day and night are always dead. And with the holiday on a Monday this year I wouldn't waste the time or be driving long distances unless your looking to be disappointed. Moe.

Most of the working girls are from somewhere else in Mexico, and most "go home" for Christmas, starting in early December. As December proceeds, it gets slower and slower until (like Memoe says) Christmas eve, day and the next few days are totally dead. It doesn't really pick back up until after New Years.

Thanksgiving however is business as normal, nothing different for them.
