Personally its not just the theater that has ruined regular dating for me but also massage parlors and the occasional escort in addition to one or two girls every now and then off personals sites. For around the same cash outlay you are guaranteed a little happy time and you don't have to put up with the normal female BS once its over. It's kinda hard not to get spoiled that way. In my opinion renting pussy when needed is much smarter than taking a long term lease.

I agree that it is easy to spent $100 or more at the theater these days before you see any results. Some guys probable have a better sucess ratio but not me. Even in the theater's heyday I was lucky to pull off 50/50 odds. These days its more like 1 out of every 5-6 visits. Not long ago it dawned on me that for not much more I could go to a massage parlor or see an escort without investing nearly as much time and effort. I will always have a soft spot for 15th because of the good times I have had there (I would love to see Angel again myself), but it really isn't that much of a value anymore when you look at it from a purely financial viewpoint. Being that my spare time and cash is fairly limited I put a high priority on getting the best bang for my buck (cheesy pun intended).

I'm a cheapskate. When I can drive out to 15th I just check in with the guys under the tent, or the dude with the tude at the counter. If they tell me nothing is going on I just go on my way and keep my money. Back in the day I did pay my 20 to sit in the theater and see what happened. All that happened was I got depressed for hanging out with a bunch of creepy guys and no women (present company excluded I'm sure!).

I haven't tried massage parlors but had the sense they were a rip. Out of curiousity, are there any in the western burbs that offer "good value". I didn't see that when I looked through the message board.

Most of the time I stop by, there isn't anyone under the tent, or I'd certainly ask. I never thought to ask the dude with the tude... :)

No, they are not a rip. Well, some are, but there are plenty where I can get in and out (so to speak) for less than a half-dozen visits to 15th. In case you missed it, there's a whole forum on this here very site devoted to massage discussion. I've got several reports there myself. Dunno about the western burbs, but if work takes you in the city at all, there's many places to be had... Like Broome333 says, in terms of time and investment, they seem to be a *much* better value than 15th.

I like getting my freak on at 15th as much as the next guy, it's a helluva a lot of fun. But it being so slow lately, after you factor in the drive there, the waiting around, the cover charge, I'll just hit an MP and be done with it.

I don't pay everytime either. From the gist of my post it's pretty obvious that I am a cheapskate as well. Usually if there aren't a good number of cars in the lot I don't even stop. When I mentioned the last 5-6 visits I have made those are only the ones where I have actually gone inside. There have probably been as many or more times that I have left without even getting out of the car. I don't mess with the guy behind the counter that often. More often than not when I have asked that he has some smartass comment about seeing for yourself and I don't need that. Sometimes I will ask guys in the tent whats going on but recently I haven't seen many guys out there.

I don't think massage parlors are a ripoff either. I don't get out to the western burbs much so I'm not familiar with the ones out there.

I know there is so much talk about no action on this board, but was anyone there on Friday? My girl must of taken on 12-15 guys in some way or another. There was also another girl there right before we left. If you weren't there-sorry. If you were there, we would love to hear what your take was. We were there around 8 behind the screen.

Hats off to you for bringing your girl and to her for what sounded like some fun. I wish I could have been there but I only get to the 15th once or twice a year due to distance.

That's great, but maybe people wouldn't be down on the place so bad and business wouldn't be so terrible for the place if couples would actually post when they are going to be there. In fact, I think if a few couples would post when they're coming than it would bring in more cash if they didn't.

The "Well, we were there Friday night" posts are BS. Post *in advance* when you are going to be there... and remember, posts don't show up on the boards immediately (unless you are a senior member).

I hardly ever go anymore because I got tired of wasting my $$, but I'd show up if I knew there was going to be someone worth showing up for.

Oh well, I rarely get in the hood to check out the action. A few cars in the lot, most of the guys sit in their cars until any gals come if any at all show up.
