Went down to Tijuana on Sunday, got back last Thursday. So was there for 4 nights total. I saw five girls total: Passion, Aphrodita, Summer, Sylvana, and Chanel. Overall, I didn't enjoy this trip quite as much as I usually do. Prices have definitely gone up, and I felt like the overall quality of girls has slightly decreased. There are fewer young spinners. The nonstop blaring music and elbowing through the hordes of mongers gets old very quickly. I also got a sore throat on the last day which definitely put a damper on the trip.

The police shakedowns have become less common in recent years. The police are mainly trying to get money from guys that are walking or driving drunk. The police used to hang out at the west end of the alley waiting to shake guys down. The main thing is to hold your cash and your cell phone in your hand when the police search you.

As a Mexican with dual nationalities, US and Mexico. I have close ties with Tijuana and San Diego as I grow up in both cities. I live in SD but frequent Tijuana every week and actually went to college in Tijuana. I can tell you that since Trump won and speaking to Mexicans nationals in Tijuana, people are being less tolerant of white looking US citizens, otherwise known as "gringos". (sad to say). I have many friends that are white as well as Mexicans so it pains me to see this happen. By nature, Mexicans are very tolerant and inviting friendly people, but many Mexican nationals are seeing the hate they get from Trump and Maga world and the influx of expats going into Mexico to live and therefore raising the prices of housing and overall cost of living in those cities only adds to the frustration what Mexican nationals are going through. They have had enough and with the new President of Mexico making this known and defending it's people publicly, gives them more reason to stand there ground and further have a lack of respect for "gringos". I do hope this tension between our nations diminishes with time, but it is hard to say, especially if Maga world keeps disrespecting Mexicans and latinos. In my opinion, it is only going to get worse for "gringos" going into to Tijuana and other parts of Mexico. Just be careful out there if you end up going.

As stated police shakedowns have been around forever and always an increase this time of year. If you have not seen a change in attitude towards gringos yet just keep your eyes open. And if it ends up that Trumps mas deportation of criminals who are in the states happens. Prepare for TJ to even become more dangerous.
It's hard to say. My guess that deportation of criminals will not have much effect in the Zona. There is a lot of LE presence in the Zona. Last week I was waiting for my girl by the parking lot at the east end of the alley. A couple of guys got into a fight and the police almost immediately stopped & arrested them. This a good reason to use extra caution. When I am in TJ I always look to see who is walking behind me.

This sounds like fake story. Shaking down multiple people at once increases the cops chances of getting caught. You can also be the the HK management would have complained as well. The recent reports is certainly is warning for increased caution in TJ.

Why is always a friend or someone told me or someone I know but it's never you as first person?
First time down at TJ and I got to say I had a blast. I've read through this thread and the International TJ forum and made use of the pointers and tips I've received.
I've parked my rental at the boarder parking, which was kinda pricey ($54) for 30 hrs. But it would have cost around that much for an uber ride back and forth. Crossing the US to Mexico border was a breeze, but it was kinda hectic once I got across. All the Taxi drivers hustling hard and after 5 minutes of not finding the HK shuttle, I just said fuck it and hopped into a taxi for $10.
Got the HK around 2 pm, checked in and went down to HK. There were quite a bit of girls but it didn't seem like the A-team. Saw one of hotter ones and bought her a drink. She spoke very little english and we didn't hit it off like I've hoped. Asked about the upstairs cost and was quoted $140, which is a bit higher than I wanted, plus she was the first girl that sat down for a drink. I went through a few more similar hotter ones and same result.
Round 1: There was 1 girl that was sitting by herself at the next table looking bored and daydreaming the whole time I was talking to the hotter girls. That seems like an overreach on their part, unless HK / Zona didn't pay their bribes on time. Just seems doubtful but also a bad sign if it's true, keeping me on this side until that's clearer for sure.

I am in San Diego quite a bit, but usually I'm there during the day during the week so if I really want to go down and try it out, I was thinking during the daytime when traffic is not that bad to go and check the place out I'm assuming however, that all the really hot girls or more girls are going to be there on the weekends or at night time so my question is if I were to go there in the midday on a Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday how many girls are typically working and am I going to be able to find someone sufficiently hot to really make my first experience memorable?

I've been there during weekdays during the afternoon and I recognized hot girls from night shifts, since some night shift girls start in the afternoon anyway. HK always has hot girls there, no matter time of day. It's pretty much how it is at night but more relaxed, less people, pretty chill. The issue is you will not see as many girls generally speaking, hot or not, but also especially less 10's. There will still be hot girls though and I've noticed prices are cheaper during the day, I've had the same girls quote me higher prices at night than during the day.
My issue with your plan is purely personal preference but I wouldn't pop my HK cherry with a weekday afternoon shift. I still vividly remember being very young and going there for the first time, walking through the curtains and finally witnessing the Holy Land. It's truly amazing and mindblowing the first time. You get the full experience at night with the sheer number of hot girls and everyone else there partying, the shows, the drinking, all of it. If I were your friend, I'd insist you wait until a weekend night. But if you have no other option, you won't be disappointed anyway. Just my advice.

Best advice, don't drive! They see American plates, you're almost guaranteed to get pulled over and robbed by police. Never visit an ATM with the police in line of sight. Heard stops are more common during holidays so take that for what it is. Next time I go I'll try to arrive while the suns still up to be cautious.
