How the SW end up on Craigslist
SHELBY COUNTY, TN – Sheriff’s deputies say a man who was posting ads for prostitutes on “Craigslist” has been arrested.
According to Detectives, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that 58 year-old Henry Gardner was being paid $50 a day by prostitutes to post the ads.
Deputies say Gardner was arrested around 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2008 at an East Memphis motel. Authorities say Gardner lived in a room at the motel and used a laptop computer to place the ads on “Craigslist”. The prostitutes did not work out of the motel, but in other places in the community, said deputies.
Authorities say Gardner has been arrested before for promoting prostitution in Tipton County.
Two women were staying in the room with Gardner, according to detectives. Deputies arrested Janet Lee, 46, for having a crack pipe. The other woman was not charged.
During the investigation, deputies also arrested a woman who was standing in the parking lot of the motel on an outstanding warrant. Deputies say 24 year-old Jessica Glass was wanted on a cocaine charge.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says Street Crimes detectives made two arrests in June of 2008 on a different “Craigslist” investigation involving prostitution.
Struck out swinging - Jimmy Carter
After RTFF and trying to make sure I had my game ready, I decided to try my mongering skills for the first time on a SW. I had a dream yesterday that I was on Jimmy Carter at the QT and Auto Zone. I rolled through the extended stay hotel in back of the QT but didn't see anything. There were two Indian dudes eyeballing me as I was rolling through. I started up the street between the hotel and the QT and I saw a prospect walking up the street. She was a WSW, about a 5 or 6, slender body, dark hair and looked like she had a little Hispanic blood. We made eye contact and she waved me back. I pulled up to her and asked if she needed a ride and *surprise* she did. She jumped in and we went to the hotel. We pulled up to a room that had a black guy drinking a beer in the doorway. He was pretty friendly and me and my catch went in the room. We went to the bathrrom to finalize the deal...she (sorry, I didn't get a name, rookie mistake) asked for .2 for BJ and .3 for FS. I offered .25 for FS and she took it. Just as I handed her a Jack and a Linc, there is a pounding on the room door and someone shouting for us to come out. Oh shit, my dream was turning into a nightmare! Was uncle leo there to bust me my first time? Turns out, it was the manager, one of the Indian dudes from earlier. He ain't going away, so we come out and he tells the SW she is banned from the property and tells me not to come back. I drop the SW off down the road and let her keep a Linc for her troubles. I just wanted to get the hell out of there in case the manager called uncle leo. I did manage to ask the SW if she walked in the area often and she said she does. Pretty freaky dream.
