Took a trip up to Asia Remedy to revisit one of my fav's. Her names been thrown around here before so I'll restrain from that controversy but it has to do with the moon. 99% of the time if you call and make an appointment. That request is never actually communicated to the store. Many of these shops have someone answering their phone number that doesn't sit in the store (likely their in NY). So you get the illusion that you have an appointment, but the rule is that if a monger walks in the door looking for a rub 5 minutes before you appointment the old "bird in the hand" saying kicks in.
Sometimes you can call and make an appointment with "Miss X" just to find out that she isn't even working that day / week.
If I want to see a certain girl I'll call and ask "Who's working today". This way I'll at least get confirmation of who will be in the building but not a guarantee that she'll be available when I get there. Even if I had an appointment.

Yes very true. If you give them a name Or they know you, and you are a regular and a decent tipper with no drama, they will always take care or you. They live off the regulars. Most of the time if you are a regular, you will get all the extras you want without even asking. If you frequent the places with the same ownership you will also be treated well since all the girls talk about the regular clients. I am often surprised seeing a "new" girl who knows exactly what I like, because they talk about their clients.
Extras can include lots of extra time if they are not busy, or a surprise visit from another girl to help or be trained. Rose and VIP have been similar in the service in the past but as girls come and go the service may vary. I can't speak for this happening at VIP because I haven't been there in I can't remember when but this service did change at Rose. If the tip is good they don't care what Time you choose. It's not like a 90 minute session HJ is better than a 30 minute session HJ. They apply the same effort to both, however they may not be as tired if they only rubbed you for 30 minutes maybe the HJ would be better but I doubt it.
