I apologize to the mama mentioned in the previous post but, do you need to keep the same profit margin? Unlike the mama above your trade is at night with the second shift and for evergreen after 2 AM where you make a killing. How about lowering the prices and see how that goes a $1 increase is a bit excessive. What do you think?

I realize the hard cores will still come and probably not stay as long as this is a daily ritual for them but you really need to take care of the clientele you have left. These younger guys are not as dumb as us old futs so you need to milk them with the food and the beer. And you still going turn a profit. If you keep squeezing blood from rock you will eventually only have a bloody hand. Just saying. And entirely my opinion.

Fkn had me rolling now that's 1 hell of a catch phrase. So it seems the kb scene is on its downward spiral. IMHO its just-eventuality. Never will it be like 15,20, 30 years ago where they all pretty much take care of you like Princes or Kings. However they do take care of Jesters so I for 1 cannot and will not grumble. Almost always drink on the house, pupu's galore, carepackage for go home. On occasion I do purchase beers for myself but always end up too many markers for the day / night so I ultimately never lose unless I get mental and start buying neko's like crazy which happens from time to time but that's only in all honesty may way of thanking the mama's and / or bartenders and the occasional gal that buys me drinks. I've learned to not say no when it comes to food because it obviously means yes to them LOL. I'm pretty much exclusive to 1 place now as it is our homebase for meeting up with pals and ofcourse how we are treated there. Even when I visit other locales near here they always take care. Why? Hell if I know. Maybe because I'm just a Jester looking to get drunk by my lonesome or with my pals. Either which way take care of those who cater / take care of you that's my philosophy. The future seems bleek for a many bars but for the 1's that know how to treat the customer not just as a Dollar Sign but as friends and loyal companions kudo's to you. Ofcourse never take advantage of their generosity because k-karma is a biatch and will return to you exponentially. Hahaha. Price of nekos will go up soon, mamas have no choice, we all see they are struggling.

Talk about struggling, mamas are cutting back, the other night I went to Summit to have some beer and food, the bartender asked me to pay her upfront for the food. I remember Summit used to have good free house pupus, not anymore. You like to eat, you pay upfront unless you know the bartender real good.

Increasing nekos price will probably put a fetal blow to the KBs industrial. Mamas make the most money from us suckers buying drinks, if the price is increased most causal drinkers will just cutting back or simply say no. I am sure LVBs and big spenders will continue to buy their princesses drinks, but they aren't too many of.

Them out there these days. LVBs spend their money for the princesses off site like taking them go shopping instead.

I once told by a princess, " don't buy me drinks here, just give me the money to spend or buy me things" hah.

Primo brewery I remember was in Waimalu, across from the watercress patch. The bottle was short, snub-nosed, and when taste good. Primo sales when dive aifter Schlitz when take over Primo.

A dollar raise in prices is too much; the happy hour landscape going change and also affect the night receipts.

KBs should start serving beers on tap. The keg price breakdown per glass is not very much and bars can still charge us customers the same and let the girls continue to collect their 15 per drink. All without raising prices. But what do I know? Just a thought brothers.

In fact I would suggest they lower the prices. Oh I forgot they are too greedy and brainless to even give it a thought. Good I can spend less in the bars and save my money.

I have noticed a significant decline in the bars within the past 3 years. Bars have closed down and remain closed, girls have become more and more scarce (new girls from korea). I see the same girls that live here permanently just move from bar to bar. The scene has become stagnant.

I am sure that lack of business has been hurting the mama's incomes. I wonder if they seriously think about why business is so crappy and what they can do to increase the number of customers coming in like how it was before. Once in awhile I see some new 2-3 new girls from korea, but the number of customers looking to sit with these girls are usually 5 guys to 1 girl. The problem is that there are not enough girls to go around. Guys don't mind spending money, but there aren't any young pretty girls around to spend money on! Do the mamas know this?!

I'm just disappointed in the direction KB's are going in. I had alot of good times in the bar in the past, but now its pathetic. I hope something changes, ie. Mamas doing something differently, bringing more new girls, and not becoming more pushy to sell drinks just because business is slow. I know everyone guy feels the same way.

Beer on tap is a moneymaker. Problem is maintenance: the equipment needs to be clean and cleaned well due to the yeast build-up in the lines and spigot; it gets pilau and you know the KBGs ain't go do or pay someone for maintain sanitation.

Nekohana is already equivalent to $40. They drink in smaller glasses and with ice; just like half of what supposed to be.

Pupus no problem; can bring our own snacks, eat dry and light, or whatnot. An outing at the KBs with full dishes going be like a special outing.

They relegate, we innovate (but no can convince the LVBs).

Hey bruddahs. Anyone know of a good spot that has good karaoke and hot girls to play with that doesn't do too much damage to the wallet? Looking to celebrate tomorrow and get my groove on LOL.

They're just waiting for it to get better on its own.

In Kalihi, Cheers Station and Spotlite. In Town, Splash. They have good sound system but can't guarantee you hot girls. If I have to pick one of these three. Try your luck at Splash.

Talent / Ellie raised their happy hour beer price to $3 for one day with inadequate notice (and thought). They found out that nobody coming around because.

International, Twilight, etc. , still going with the $2; so they switched back to $2 happy hour beer (rumored that it's $4 at regular price, but not sure). Some of their regulars have already found new digs so now they stuck.

When you business owner, make decisions based on data or some kind of research / thought not from another KB owner already charging $3 happy hour beer (duh) because "misery loves company. ".
