The pickens have been very slim. I travel 34th street, starting at 54th, then work my way South to around 5th Ave or so. On 34th there was a very young looking skinny BSW. Either throw some single bills out the window and watch them takeoff after the flying money. Or just keep driving while threatening to take her to the precinct. The one story I have read from veterans is to stop at some store and offer to get them something to drink, which they will want to get out to go in and pick out something, then just leave once you get them a nice distance away. Some guys will go to some hotel and pretend to be getting out to go in some room, then take off after they get out. I had one like that about a year ago, it was a nightmare. I wish there was a way to profile these types so as to avoid. But best thing would be to just read reports like yours and try to spot the troublemakers as well as the good ones. Also, the further you go away from their candy store, the more desparate they will get to be nice to you for a ride back and not get stranded so far away from their comfort zone.
