I don't think anyone on the forum has any issues with hobby protocol questions. The problem is new members want specific info on a provider or just looking to leech off other members for contact information without ever providing any useful information or reviews.

We all want to be cautious and part of that is to be mindful of new members who might be LE.

If that were automatically posted every 15 days in each of the forums, we would have a lot fewer newbies asking for info that won't be forthcoming and a lot fewer Seniors responding with answers that seem like flames.

If you join the board and your first 5 posts are all asking for information you will catch a lot of heat and deservedly so. Other members have no way of knowing if you are Officer Barney Fife or an experienced monger.

Anyone doubting the value of Lefty should go back and read his old posts, before his hiatus. I did. He was brilliant, creative, funny, vulnerable, mean, and ruthless, much like a real life Batman villain. People who never read his old posts might not understand why some people like him because his new posts sound like they were written by other person, one that's nicer, better than everyone else, and a little boring. I like the new Lefty because he seems like a nicer guy even if he's not the same brilliant writer.

Some here consider him a legend with his posts.

I remember traveling and finding agencies in the yellow pages because that was the only place to find girls. That said I think I know a little about the hobby but really learned a lot from reading here. I soon realized that everything I knew I learned on my own. This site is a great place to read and learn from other perspectives and better yet other mongers mistakes. If you're not a Sr. And want to be it's quite simple post and wait.
