This is sort of a philosophical question so if you are looking for info you may want to skip this. A while back I had a massive urge for Chinese restaurant. But as we all know there are no good Chinese restaurants to be had here in Richmond. All of their menus don't have a happy ending and in some places it's buffet Style (self-serve). I never considered myself a nerd but I found myself calculating the benefits of going to find a Non-Chinese restaurant with a happy ending here in Richmond verses drive up to Fredericksburg for traditional Chinese. Here is the conclusion I came to:

Assume that if you go to Fredericksburg at best you will get.

- A waitress that is over 40 years old and will most likely be out of shape.

- Will have her uniform on the entire time.

- You pay the house 60 and leave a tip of 40.

- Probably not much touching or at best only OTC.

- You drive a total round trip of 120 miles and assume you get horrible gas milage of 20 MPH at 2.75/ gallon... Gas will cost about $18 round trip.

- You would have to spend 2 hours driving round trip to get back home to Richmond.

- total dinner bill would be about $120.

However, if you stay here in Richmond and go to a non-Chinese restaurant assume.

- Waitress will at least be topless.

- You can roam a lot more.

- Waitresses will be under 35 years old.

- and the Menus have a happy ending.

- Assume the waitresses there are cute and just your type.

So my big question... Is paying $135 for one hour at a non-Chinese restaurant too much? Just curious.

Based on your scenario, I feel it's a no brainer to stay local. My time is worth more than the meal you describe in F'burg. However, if the Asian waitress was a babe and clothing was optional, I would most likely sample the menu. There are so many variables that your question can only be answered by you individually, all the while weighing what you're willing to spend on the meal. We have to answer this same question every time we purchase any good or service.

There's a lot to be said for variety and that needs to be a part of my equation. Cute and petite are coefficients that can affect the equation. Enthusiasm and attitude are also powerful coefficients. The fully dressed, self-serve shit that passes for an AMP here in Richmond is BS. I'm certain nature intended the couple to be nude and enjoy themselves fully, not for the guy to wank off while the girl watches. Having said that, I like the hunt, too. Not knowing what I'm going to get and not knowing the quality all are factors in the "chase". Most BP girls might as well be blow up dolls. They're totally predictable and have no personality. Occasionally, you discover a gem and over the years I've found a few. Cute, talented, with a great personality...too bad none of them seem to stick around too long.

So, even if I had a petite spinner that did everything, squirted and did it all for free and lived next door and cooked me dinner when we were done, included free beer, etc., I'd still go looking if nothing else for variety.

Well after a really promising first visit, a somewhat disappointing second visit my third visit was probably my last. I had VeVe (pronounce. Not a joke. Weewee). She's young and has at least 30 extra pounds, poor English skills, and she gives a very hard and vigorous massage. The first two visits ran 5-10 minutes over time. This visit was 5 minutes short. Not touching and no encouragement to DIY (which I wasn't going to do). Very professional and distant. Seriously doubt that I'm going back. The massages are better than Mandy's but not by a lot. You'll get 2 times as much massage per $ spent but at least with Mandy you'll get a mechanical HE. At the authentic Chinese massage you'll just get a mechanical massage.
