you *can* be arrested for anything, whether or not you *will* be arrested is another story. I suspect that 9 out of 10 times, if it is not a sting operation you will be let go (and if you don't have priors or do anything stupid during the process)

I have been very lucky in my travels -- particular given the many, many stupid mistakes over the years. But most stories you will here about about getting let go, not getting processed.

My most recent and most significant run-in led to me being told to take off, didn't even run my license. But it was one of those cases where I did exactly as you described. Picked her up on Harrison over by Magazine, and she had me go three different places before I finally took charge and picked my own place.

It was a side street and seemed like a good option, but 2 minutes into the deed I notice headlights coming our way -- then BAM! the red-and-blues come on (man that feeling sucks!) But I think it was a mistake using my instinct -- I think they have a better idea where to go.

MeatMan, on the otherhand, is one of the exceptions who proves the rule -- he has his own beat and knows the area better than the vast majority of us will. So his instincts would definitely be best, but otherwise I think most SW unless they're totally zonked out know the best spot.

Web, that is a judgement call. I have been in sticky situations three times. Twice it was her choosing and the third it was mine.

80% of the SWs want to get the date over as soon as possible and don't want to stray too far from the track. This generally leads to unacceptable risks - at least in my book. This hurry and rush attitude also generally makes for poor service - even if you don't end up in the pokey.

As far as the old arrest for this and that thing. Cops do lie, if he wants to arrest you he is going to arrest you. Luckily the BPD hasn't been targeting johns in Boston since 01-02. Be polite, don't admit to anything and hope for the best and be polite (yes twice).

I think you are right that it comes down to a judgement call. When I think about the SWs who made the right call -- it was older, wiser, more sober hookers who wanted to make money and stay out of jail.

The ones who put me in a bad spot were ones jonzing for her next fix and couldn't see past that, with no commonsense about whether or not she in the crosshairs of LE.

Problem I have faced is mongering in a different city and not knowing the lay of the land. Same problem when I almost got popped off of Harrison -- was in unfamiliar territory there (at least at that time).

This occured to me about 4 years ago but I thought I it would be worth sharing. There was a cop working detail by the Chinatown T-Station, and I must have passed him 6 or 7 times. On the 8th he gets right in front of my car and called me out by my last name and told me to get the hell out of there. I would assume by my experiences that even though LE can arrest you it is faster to scare you and get rid of you than process the paperwork on a arrest.

Just be polite.

Being polite is one thing. Having a cop harass you because he thinks you are cruising for ho's (true or not) is another. I've had this happen once or twice before and my answer is always the same, 'I'm looking for a really good parking spot'. It's a long ways from stopping you in traffic alone to arresting you for ho'ing - I don't even think the LAPD could concoct that one. ;) Of course if later that night he sees you cruising by with a ho in the car then you have a problem...

Of course riding the same track over and over is never a good idea. Mix it up, Tyler-Oak, PP..etc

Did a trip through CT and BHA and boy was LE out. I hung out until 4am thinking it would die down... I was wrong. 4 hours of gas burned but then again I didn't get bagged by LE, not a bad trade off.

What I did see if you are referring to same thing is 1 WSW being stopped on Harrison while another girl + guy (pimp/client?) was being questioned around the corner on Temple. Talk about a traffic jam!

As for what was going on I think by the number of squad cars in the area they were after them. I did stick around to see if cleared up for some action but as I mentioned before... no luck.

Wednesday evening around 7:15 by the Dunkin' Donuts on the corner of 3rd and McGrath/O'brien highway in Cambridge!

I did not get a close look but I saw the stroll, the head turn, the whole nine.

and how are things around the picking areas? haven't been around much, and used to go to CT every once in a while but way too many LE for my taste. PA every once in a while will have the 2 chicks that hang by the club after it closes and stay there till early morning.

I guess they get the message now! ;)

As soon as they were out of sight I caught eye again on the SW. She was about in her mid 30's average build, decent attitude, blue jeans and a Miami Dolphins coat. I think he means midnight. It is a short little street that runs parallel to the
entrance to the Mass Pike over to Berkeley Street.

Went into CT and saw the cops were out and heavy. I made one pass and picked up a nice WSW on Stuart. She's a little bit older like in her late 30's but nice face and great technique. Or we can explore other areas, like trying to build a network of erstwhile SWs who now use CL -- and try to get them back down to earth so we are not paying former SWs pornstar prices (when we should be paying former pornstars SW prices!)

I lament the death of the street scene. For veteran mongerers such as yourself, it must be truly depressing. It is for me at least, and I am hardly an old-timer.

We've got several threads going on here -- CL, AMPs, Escorts, and Streetwalker Reports. No one is posting about anything but SWs on this thread -- other than this specific discussion now.

But frankly I feel stupid posting "drove through the stroll -- saw a couple of junkies but none even close to anything I would pick up. . ." So in the absence of SW success, I have been posting about the closest I have done lately for sport-fucking -- which is AMPs and CL (and in the appropriate threads). Even MeatMan -- the guy with by far the greatest street cred here -- is doing on the CL thing and has only posted a handful of times in *month* about street stroll. Posting just about CL, AMPs, et al, is going to ruin this board because it is frankly boring to talk about -- other than what is useful for arranging service. I agree with you on that. But what is the alternative if the street scene is dead??

I think the next best thing is to post about providers (from CL, etc) with the same thrill of the hunt, but it is better than letting things go completely silent. Otherwise, I am all in favor of more SW posts. Frankly, I am as sick as you must be of checking the forum and seeing "WebDog" as the most recent post. I don't post to read my own words, just as I don't talk to hear myself speak. I do so to get others flowing with information. If the best way to do that is for me to shut up, I would gladly do so.

Well went to the Produce Center and saw nothing tonight.

CM[/QUOTE]It's fairly easy to make up stories about street action (BB for you old time guys), but harder to fake stories about escorts, CL, etc. I still do the streets, and they are still out there. It's just I have scaled back to certain hours and certain locations. Plus, sometimes I don't post sucesses, due to lazyness or waiting too long. If I were single, belive me, I'd be going to Brockton, BHA, etc. and posting like a madman.

I'm just laying off the stroll because:

1. There's not much out there that catches my eye.
2. Just too MANY crackheads on BHA, Grove Hall etc.
3. I'ts just to damn cold!

I will ALWAYS be a stroller. It's what I do best, but not in this climate. Once it's starts to hit the mid 40's, I'll be back out again.
