Has any one been in contact with this lady?? Not sure if it was real since it has been up for more than a day.

So I tried to send here a note on here. Is she still around, it looks like her account on her is no longer.

So I found this place on rubmap in tc. Didn't really see any post. Anyone have any intel.

Thanks be safe.[/QUOTE]Google says it's been around for 5+ years with numerous reviews from both men and women. 2 years ago someone made a YouTube video claiming that she "assaulted" clients and "demanded a tip". Entire video seems like a smear piece by an unhappy prick though. Not to mention, in my experience, those places have never advertised their real name on the store - always given fake names if I've ever asked.

My intuition says it's a clean place, but sweet Jesus I would LOVE to be proven wrong on that, man!

She is well noted and respected for pain therapy work as well. I believe she has been in business 17 years, and was the first Asian massage therapy in the area. There are no extras to be found there. She does both Swedish Massage (relaxing) and Traditional Chinese Massage (pain therapy work). The YouTube video is exactly what you suspected. A smear piece by an unhappy prick, who decided to try and skip out without paying. My understanding is that she tried to stop him from jumping in his car and driving off, but got him on camera. The situation was investigated by police, the guy was found, and subsequent prosecution was started. The guy was from California, and had mental impairment from a reported closed head injury. He was pissed off that he just couldn't pay and be allowed to return to California. I was told he made non-stop phone calls to both the police and prosecutor's office in attempt to have charges dropped. He was anxious to leave the area. He did not want to wait for his trial date. Eventually, they had him make restitution, and then the prosecutor dropped charges as he felt the individual lacked the mental capacity to learn anything from any further punishment. After this, the bozo posted the You Tube videos in attempts to smear her.

Were you able to visit Sophie's in South Haven? If so, how did it go? Any specifics to share? Thanks.

Any advice where I might stop this weekend for a nice relaxing massage north of Grayling to St Ignace. Seems to be slim pickins in this area.

This place is actually real. Had a great experience. I think it was the first or second day they was open. It in a plaza in the middle of Traverse. They have a table shower. My massage therapist was an attractive asiann in her 20's. Kept it professional, no extras and I didn't ask since it was the first visit, but YMMV. Its a block from the sheriff's department but is a legit business so I wasn't to worried. Good luck.

Just tried the new spa. Excellent massage. Eighty bucks for the hour and she actually went over by 10 minutes. When does that ever happen? Maybe just trying to generate repeat business since they're new. I actually tried to tip her for the extra ten minutes and she told me to save my money for next time. My masseuse was "Angela," forty-something I would guess and clearly experienced. She had some of the same moves that my chiropractor uses. As Broadway Jay noted, YMMV I was quite happy with the experience. Seniors can PM me for details. SG.

On Saturday, August 24, Asian Massage opened in Traverse City. They are located in the Woodmere Commons area, to the left of the TC Tennis and Pickleball business.

They are affiliated with another spa downstate. Their staff is young, and well experienced. Very, very friendly, warm, touchy feely type personalities. The kind of girl who takes you by the arm and says step right in. I have an opening for you right now! Their door fee is $80. I have been there twice. The first time the therapist collected the fee afterwards, the second time a different therapist collected the fee prior to the treatment. Strangely enough, both therapists were named Amy. As others have said, they also have a great table shower there, and that option is included in the door fee. Just tell them that you want the table shower and massage. They will provide a robe and slippers for you to wear as you go between the massage room and the table shower room. After the table shower, I was treated to a OK massage, and the flip was very pleasurable. There was no tip negotiation during the massage, and they were well pleased with my offerings. Gave me a hug, and patted my ass as they walked me to the door, telling me to come back again soon! It's almost too good of an experience for Traverse City. YMMV, but I really couldn't have expected more. Hurry in and treat them well.

Had a great experience at the new massage AMP. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Collected the eighty at the desk on entrance. My masseuse was maybe in her forty's didn't catch her name. Little bit of a table malfunction with head rest but all in all was a excellent experience. I haven't experienced a table shower as of yet and unfortunately another gentlemen walked in shortly before me. So didn't bother to ask about it. Will have to try it next time.
