The providers who charge 200+ seem to get it. I know its more bucks, but, to me, kinda worth it to avoid the hassle. Think of it as paying insurance, that what I do.

I must say that is a intresting theory, but I think Price isn't the means to measure the service. In example a year ago I saw a provider in the cape area, she wanted 225hr and 175 hh, well opted for the hr, The providers service was well less than the value. She was in a hotel and room was decent, the girl greeted me with a hug and a smile, but went it came to performance it was less than it value, she watched tv while performing CBJ and she kept stopping and starting the main purpose as why is was there. NYMonger and Tapthe pie both raise interesting points. The more the donation does NOT always result or guarantee stellar service. When negociating the donation remember that your time might be "I have to do this to pay the rent [etc] but dammit I'm only doing the least I have too". IOW, don't expect the 'A' game.

I've had absolutely great experiences from what I'll say are lower end donation specialists and lousy, disgusting experiences from high end specialists that I kick myself for not walking the minute the door opened.

I think a little bit of common sense from the provider side would go a long way. I lately had a woman in a high end NY hotel bar, qoute me 500 / hour, then 400 and explain she got paid for her time. I replied her effective rate was more like 200, as I saw her sitting alone for an hour and even if she left with me now, it would be 400/2 or 200 / hour. She didn't get what she was charging for, and I concluded not worth the effort.

They also don't get that repeat customers are worth a lot more as the risk is less, and maintaining an existing customer is easier and cheaper than acquiring new guys.

But its also why I like the SW scene. You never know what you'll find.
