The news coverage on the so called operation pimp amazed me as to how much time they spent on that segment verses the truly deadly crime committed at the casino shootout by the wana be punk gangsta. Where was LE when this thug played shootem up and pranced out of the casino and is still on the lamb. Oh yeah they were busy staking out the tracks and busting 200 pimps.

Since when did LE start picking up random homeless guys and slapping them with a false arrest for pimping?
The more I read the R-J account, the more I think I was too harsh on the judge and think about the consequences for this guy's life, unlike the other two who may not be all that upset about getting three hots and a cot at County expense. The gentleman has to hope Antonio and Karen will both get a clue in the form of legal advice to shut up and stop digging already.

We all joked about his poor mongering skills and judgement, but reading that story I couldn't help but feel sad for the guy. What a horrific crime he committed! Overpaid a sorry case SW and got his dick consensually sucked in a parking lot. Was nice enough (-yeah I know, not real smart) to offer up his own name and number for legal help in case she needed it. For that he gets his name and face plastered all over the newspaper and the lead story on local TV news. Talk about punishment not fitting the crime - doesn't get more out-of-whack than that. I wish the guy well, but am guessing the long-term impact here will be more severe than for our friend the incorrigible firefighting monger. Goodbye life as he once knew it.
One other thing, reading the details of how this went down it struck me how extraordinarily unlucky he was (picking up a SW at the moment ULE was descending on her) and how this is the kind of bust that really could have happened to any of us. At least it's good to see they took such a high-powered "Pimp" off the street. Wow, that should really clean things up.
One thing I thought was odd was the area the Judge got popped in. I thought EVERYONE knew about that area being a little warm from time to time. I know if I was a judge I would certainly have paranoid eyeballs.
I did get a chuckle about the 50 in that area. Dummy.
As far as the Boulder/Fremont break-point - I thought it was at Sahara proper, no?
And Wastrel - about the "Freemont" spelling... out here in Las Cruces - we had an article published by AARP touting all the 'fun-facts' and points of beauty that make this place "a wonderful place to live" & blah-blah. Things like how locals enjoy watching the sunset over the unique Oregon Mountains.

The article JPF posted below didn't even call him a judge, but a "justice of the peace pro-tem". Pro-tem means filling in temporarily, so it is likely that this guy barely sees a dime from the job -- most certainly not a living wage. Definitely not the kind of position that would entitle a man to "Seymour Brown" kinds of treatment described by Normin. I could more likely afford a room at the Wynn than he.
Then the reporters had to go and ask all around at his school and former jobs telling everyone about the guy's arrest. Man, what a way to go out. All mongers know there is a risk, but this is just cruel, considering the crime.
The 1st line mentions him as a P/T judge but the line that had me laughing my ass off was this:

The saddest thing about this incident with the judge is the fact that there are probably a dozen other judges in this town, and half of the gov't officials in Clark county wiping their cold sweat thanking their lucky stars it wasn't them that got busted two weeks ago when they were slamming crack-head Katie in the back of their SUV. It's just unfair.
Despite his lack of common judgment (pun..) I feel really sorry for the guy. I'll be willing to bet a good number of the crew at the TV station driving these reporters around are using meth at home thinking they just helped save the world by exposing this big evil the judge has commited, ruining his life completely.

Sure, we all get tempted to want to work a deal in getting freebies in exchange for our own services (which may or may not be a bad idea depending on the provider), but hell, giving your information away to a crack dependent zombie on Fleamont? This and overpaying by $30 + $10 tip? The thought of having a guy with this kind of judgment placed in a position of power keeps me from sleeping at night.
Checked boulder out Thursday night. Dry as hell with a few stragglers everynow and then. It was one hot girl working but as soon as she was seen she was scooped.
LE was out in force. I even saw a few undercovers. It was probably more out there than I saw, because mongers with a girl were getting stopped by the black and whites often.
I saw someone pulled over by two black and whites in a very discreet place. An underocver had to be lurking and called the boys.
While Trop seems to be dry...and it is a little. I live near the area and I found where a few of the hidden gems are hiding.

This is a really strange story..... I wonder if the cops offered the sw immunity or she was just being dumb. My theory was that when the cops discovered that he was a judge they figured that it was a big publicity and would look good on their record. So they figured it would be worth offering the sw something in return.

Some other city. The girls are all pimped girls that work on a circuit that includes Hawaii, Phoenix, SF, SD, LA, Seattle, Las Vegas, Dallas, Denver, Portland, and some east coast city. They work an area for as much money as they can get, and once they get too many arrests and might get significant jail time, the pimp moves his girls on to another city
