(That's "Eighth Street") I know that festival has some "official" name, but I've lived here 30 plus years and that's the first I've heard it called that. Anyways - Calle Ocho is the largest hispanic street festival in the US. There's tons of salsa, merengue; wall-to-wall hispanics and at least 12 beers for every person. There's loads of putas walking around, but be concious that every sluty chica there isn't accompanied by her boyfriend.

There are seldom (never) any reports out west along 36th St. Your accomodations are pretty far west. 107th Ave is where the Turnpike is. The next major roadway is SR-836 the Palmetto Exwy.
A strip club close to the Palmetto is the Pink Pony. I haven't been there in 3 years, but it's the ussual money vacuum that strip clubs are. Pink Pony often gets better than average comments in the reviews. Always remember YMMV (your milage may vary). I've been to clubs where everyone says you can't score there (and have) and vise-versa.

There's not really any action in that immediate area and trust me I know because I work in that area. If you have transportation you can get to Flager pretty easily for some mongering action (I'm assuming that it's 36th st. and NW 107th ave., correct?). Are you going to have a car to get around in?
