Metro Busts Illegal Neighborhood Brothel
KLASTV EYEWITNESS NEWS July 12, 2006:
Metro police are cracking down on illegal brothels that are trying to pose as legitimate businesses. Police made arrests Wednesday morning after finding a brothel in one Las Vegas neighborhood.
Police made the arrests on Sanderling Circle near Spring Mountain and Valley View. The women that were arrested would meet men at other locations or the men could come to their residence.
The residence in question is a privately owned condo that is rented out. It is not known if the owner even knows their property is being used for this purpose.
Vice officers found the condo after checking ads in weekly publication. Metro police with the vice unit say they are finding these kind of brothels more and more often in the valley.
An officer told Eyewitness News, "It's been present but there seems to be more and more of it, it's growing, it's starting to evolve. It's kind of all over, and most people who live by these places, don't even realize that this is going on because they keep it so covert."
Once Metro officers suspect they are dealing with a brothel, they send an officer to the location. The officers talk with the women and if they are solicited for prostitution, they make arrests. That is what they did in this situation.
Neighbors in the area say were surprised by the arrests but they have seen an increase in traffic in the area and that raised their suspicions.
http://klastv.com/Global/story.asp?S=5143277&nav=menu102_2_1

Is it just me or does this dufus sound like he's 12. These apts have been "all over" this valley for as long as I can remember.
Demise of the incalls ? ?
If LE continues busting all of the apt/condos, I'm going to be hurting when I go to LV.
Please guys, if you know of a place being busted, please report. Who at Spring Mountain and Arville was busted?
Stay safe,

Metro does seem to have a lot of time for this stuff lately:
Police bust suspected brothel in upscale community
...Vice officers on Thursday busted a brothel in the community, claiming its prostitutes were soliciting customers on the links of the Siena Golf Club, according to Las Vegas police Lt. Curt Williams.
"We are proud of all of the great activities in our community -- but not that one," said Skip O'Donnell, president of the Siena Community Association...
Three women were arrested at a house at 4565 Bersaglio St. in one of several recent prostitution busts in wealthy valley neighborhoods.
...The clientele...would pay $1,000 for sexual favors, according to police...
The R-J article on this one includes some photos of the three alleged black chip hookers of the 19th hole. Someone really into blondes might disagree, but in my opinion about two and a half of them are hags, and one is maybe about half doable on a cold day for the right price, which is nowhere near any major part of a grand in US currency to my eyes: http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2006/Jul-22-Sat-2006/news/8637098.html
If these and other (Antonio & Karen on Boulder) recent mug shots are any guide, Metro seems to be specializing in somehow finding a few individuals in all zip codes who look like they've spent most of their spare time sniffing glue, and a couple of convenience stores somewhere will be wondering what happened to their designated panhandler who used to live out front near the dumpster.

A lot of people with a lot of different political leanings have doubts about the priorities of these expensive operations. Personally, my pet peeve is the fact that Metro just sends out a form to fill out and mail back when a car is stolen, with no attempt to follow up, so Vegas has now become the auto theft capital of the continent. In the old west, horse thieving was a hanging offense, and if somebody takes my 200 horse carriage I don't want to hear about mailing a form, I want them hanged, disembowled, and set on fire. It might also be kind of nice if someone had time to dust off a couple of quaint old laws that say green means go, red means stop, and everybody drives on the right side of the road in one lane at a time.
Right , they win ; Left , you lose

re golf course community bust
Did you see how old the women are: 47, 44, and 22 (the half doable one). Maybe if they took away my car keys and I only had a golf cart to get around in would I even look at those women far less consider paying $1K for them.
