I ran across this ad for a spa at Lake Wylie. Does anyone has intel on this new place. I see they got it out of Charlotte but still close.

To set the record straight and all the talk. They moved to the same building that galaxy is at but they are not the same. Still two different spa's. This move has been in the works since Mid Nov. I only guess getting it ready was the hold up.

I have been numerous of times and only seem to get the standard.

I went by there tonight for only the second time since the old mamasan retired, first in close to a year.

I went away disappointed, one thing you used to could count on at Lilys while it would only be a standard HE the TS and rub would always be good.

Sadly tonight that was not the case, the TS and rub were both poor and on top of that time was close to 15 minutes short.

That is right two new spa's will be opeing in January 2013 and they are American Spas. All coming from former employees of Ambrosia. What can we say to that. There is something that when the lady's leave that place they open up a new spa. Maybe someone will get it and smartin up.

There is no more Utopia at Hanna's. She put an end to the mess and K is there to bring back value to quality service. Thank You Hanna.

Originally from the NYC area (great AMPs!) and work brings me to Char. On a somewhat regular basis. The AMP scene in Columbia is poor. Looking for a TS, good massage with at least a BJ. Heard via other places that Midori, Papaya or Aloha CAN be enjoyable. Any advice appreciated.

Went up to the original location. Open and staffed this morning.

I was in Charlotte last night and decided to visit Aloha spa after turning down the $80 Papaya door fee.

I was pleasantly surprised and how good my masseuse looked especially since they were only charging $50 at the door. She said her name was "J" Sexy lingere and long hair. I give her a strong 6 or maybe a 7 in looks. She was somewhat friendly, called me baby a lot. Grabbed my hand from room to room. Great table shower lots of attention paid to my happy area. 2 minutes in the sauna and back to the room. I can't consider what she did a massage, just a lot of touching and soft rubbing on my back, but and legs. Flipped me over quickly and quietly whispered if I wanted to "have fun" and said ues and she said I need my tip. Offered 40 but she said that wasnt enough, wanted 60. I gave her 50 she complained a little said bring more next time.

I left happy, would probably visit again next time I'm in Charlotte next month.

Just thought I would put in my 2c for this board. Malena over at Wallace / Metrolina is a great therapist, and I'm one of the regulars there now. Only tried her and Marisol, no others. Both of them are good, though my taste runs more towards Malena. No upselling, no rush, takes their sweet time, feels great. Highly recommended.

As soon as a saw the new mamasan I was concerned; been back only two times and never again. Use to to be a great place for a good to great massage with a little fun. No more

I enjoy the hobby and fear that at some point it will no longer be under the radar with all these new spas in town. Hope I'm wrong.

Lucy / Tina at Sunlight both give very good massages. I've seen each a couple of times and would put them on equal footing. Both offer lots of soft touch / finger nail teasing to the boys prior to flip and after. Again, PM if looking for additional info.

Was looking to try Kiber from The League. Anybody had an experience they'd like to share with her?

What is driving all the new spas to Charlotte and the increase in services? For the last 20 years there has been the same 8 or 10 spas and one or two would get shut down and one might open up to replace it. To the best of my knowledge none ever offered anything other than standard HE they said that was a sure way to get shut down in the Bible Belt. I used to go to greensboro because they had a street with 6 or 7 that did full service and were around forever then they all got shut down at once. Being from up north where spas were not often bothered and most did full service it was tough for me being here. In the last couple of years it seems they are popping up like weeds and most seem to have expanded menus. Even rainbow got rid of Monica who had a loyal following because of her great hands and looks because she would not expand her menu (which is still tragic to me) It seemed like most of the existing places had been talking about how slow it had been then the number of new places tripled. Anybody hear any talk from there providers on what's going on?

I heard a year ago that this was going to happen. The reason that I was given was that Atlanta was shutting down spas and making it real rough on them.

Not sure what I was thinking but tried Midori today hoping to get lucky and had a simply horrible time. Girl was cute enough (with rather large breasts, but started up selling me before I got my pants off and killed the mood completely. I must have been on something to think stopping at Midori is a good idea, no one should ever waste money at that place, hopefully I remember that next time.

So busting a AMP is a bigger deal. In NYC going after AMPs is like going after jay walking. It ain't going to happen.

I'm not sure it has much to do with crazy Christians etc but just size. This place is like a large small town.

Monica was not pushed out of Rainbow, she left of her own accord.

I think you are getting confused by the AMP shell game (I can't speak to the non-Asian ones as I never go to American spas so there may be plenty of those cropping up).

However if there were AMPs cropping I'd say it's about time!

I must admit I have never seen such bad AMP services as in this town and I've been to at least 6 other cities in the Northeast and Northwest. I can't imagine it's a Southern thing but more of a Charlotte thing. And yes maybe because I'm an atheist from a big Northern city but I have hard time believing a few religious yahoos can make such a dent in the AMP business in the 21 century (I mean where are THOSE guys going to get their fun then?).

Just don't see the owner. $60 at the door and have always gotten alot more than bargained for. Plus the massage is never bad
