Of course Redneck is right again.
My perspective is different. In my opinion, formed over several decades of downtown experience, without any drugs and drug-using providers there would be much less downtown street mongering action. From that perspective, thank goodness for drugs and the many downtown providers who use them.
My own experience:
I ran into Elaina AGAIN 4:15 pm Saturday at the intersection of King St. & River. Another session just like the first, she's REALLY skilled and was really chill. She told me she's 22, and I believe it. If you see her today, she's wearing a men's hat and multicolored yoga pants, she's a skinny, pretty brunette with long straight hair. Oh, and old needle tracks on her arms, so there's that.
Advice for would-be Elaina hunters.
I'd keep checking the line of people up against the wall on the Makai side of Pauahi between River and Maunakea, and stick to the area bordered by Beretania, King, Maunakea and River. Mostly after 10 pm, but she seems to be spending more time out there now.
Elaina our right now, 10:20 pm
She's in the area I mentioned the last couple of reports in shorts and a light-colored knit hoodie.
