I am on a world wind tour of clubs in Detroit this weekend. Friday and Saturday we hit in no order BY's, Pantheon Silver Cricket, John's Hot Spot, Coliseum, La Chambre, Players, Toy Chest, Trumpps, Tycoons, Bogarts, Henry the 8 ths and tried to get into the Penthouse when I met the first and only a $$hole of the day a the door. I am with a couple of buddies, just in for the weekend, staying downtown and taking cabs everywhere we go. Yes it's expensive but safe. Anyway we headed to the to the Penthouse when we ran into a ton of traffic on 8 mile due to construction. The cab dropped us off on the side street to the west of the club so he didn't have to get in the traffic on 8 mile. We walk in front of the building and past the valet and this door thug with a Jewish Halloween costume opens the door and about smacks me in the face as I was reaching for it. Comes barreling out the right side door and says all our customers need to valet their car. I said I don't have a car. He asked how did we get there then. Well I am not one to take a lot of $hit I admit and I said exactly "What difference does it make to you." He said exactly "You don't want to get smart with me." I said "What is the threat because I don't have a car and you don't have my $7 for a valet" He said "$7 or you don't get in" I asked if that was the cover too and he said something about it being their Halloween party and there is $20 cover. Well the only thing I do worst than take shit from a strip club doorman is pay $20 cover charges. On que I looked at my buddies and said does any of us have $67. We all pulled out or rolls and I spread out $1400 in $100 bills and had another couple hundred in other bills and I probably had the small stack. Douch bag sees this as we wanted him to and he offered to waive the valet LOL! We walked to street and called the cab driver. He said he was 5 minutes away and would pick us up where he dropped us. We walked to the corner and waited. About a minute later here comes douch bag with a manager I suppose. They offered us a free booth and the best party in town. I said I don't need a free booth and I can make my own party. I told the manager that his door men need to not judge a book by its cover. Three of us were in shorts flip flops and t-shirts with a pullover. The manager explained how they have a problem with people parking in the neighbor behind the club and the homeowners complain. I said that sounds like a problem that isn't necessarily yours. Let the police and the homeowners deal with it if its a problem or you could provide free parking if you want to help the neighborhood. The Cab shows up and the manager actually did something somewhat nice. He handed the cab driver a $20 and said this ride is on him. That $20 will get us back to the Penthouse today. These bar are polar opposites to say the least. Lot will have to do with the atmosphere that you like and how much you want to spend. H8 n is very fast paced and the girls are very aggressive. Many will ask what kind of extras you are looking for in their opening sentence before they even know your name. The place is worn down with a blue collar atmosphere.

When at H8 n you will probably talk to 90%. Of the girls in the first hour since they circle the room frequently looking for new blood. Prices would be in the 60 to 100 range with most girls.

FC is one of the most expensive places in town. If you come on a weekend expect to pay 7 for your car, 15 to get in and 20+ to sit in premium seating and 8.75 for a beer. The girls are better looking but tend to be conceded. The place is high end white collar. Expect quotes in the 150-250 range. One big problem with FC is the girls don't circulate much. They tend to get locked up with regulars. Plan on spending triple (yes triple) the time lining up a deal in the FC so take that into consideration too.

Actually I'm going to recommend 2 other places. Bogarts (same owner as H8 N) which is right across the street from FC usually has a better selection of girls than H8 n for the same prices. Problem with Bogarts and H8 n is the girls aren't as polished as the FC girls so if you don't like a taste of ghetto this place might not be for you.

Bts my ATF is 15 min east of Fc on Mich ave. Its the best of both worlds in my opinion. Lots of girls in the 7-8 range with good pricing.

Cab dropped us off in the driveway and maybe I was overly paranoid but I saw the valet walk into the valet booth and seeming like he got on the phone and moments later a different door man comes out as we walk up and gives us the same "All our customers need to valet their cars." At Tycoons you can park in the grocery store lot which is in back of Tycoons lot or the side street. Coli is difficult because of location and depth of the lot that their business is on.

But, I would NEVER go without valet at night. I like my car as is, not to mention my personal well being. For 6-7 bucks per Club, at night, it's the best insurance you can buy.

Never tell them your from out of town. Always say your new to their Club but visit (Name) some other Club because they treat you right in the VIP.

I strongly differ on one comment. You could walk to H8 N, but I wouldn't do it on a dare or a big money bet. Dangerous. You probably could walk to Bogart's. I really wouldn't want to. F / see is a really nice physical club, where Bogies is a blue collar semi dive bar. Ie. Comfortable. H8 N is a dive, I like it there, and the girls are rougher for the most part but far less expensive for your bbjcim. Same 13 bux for cover, beer and tip, extras for about 3 jacks. I prefer day shift about an hour before shift change. The girls tend to be more negotiable as they need to make their expenses and profit before they leave.
