Dead Monday Night, or Was It?
I took a run through the city Monday night around 9:30. I saw nothing of interest in the Main St/Belmont environs and stopped at DD. There was a woman having a smoke leaned against the building. Could she be "working? " I headed towards the door and gave her a friendly good evening when I got close, at which point I noticed that she looked way too neat to be "working" and decided that she must be a DD employee (perhaps the manager) taking a smoking break.
I got a pleasant Hello, back with nothing in it to tell me I was wrong in my assumptions. She looked to be medium build, white, with perhaps light brown hair, and was wearing a long thin scarf over her coat.
I headed in, made a purchase, and headed out expecting to see her right where I left her. She was gone. Then I saw her walking on the far side of the parking lot and heading up Central. Odd, I thought and headed back to my car. She kept looking back at me though. My instincts told me I had to be wrong so drove north on Main but kept wondering how much of a fool I might B.
Oh well. If anyone has tapped that tree I'd love to know.
