When the minimum price was $200, I was quoted as high as 600 for the privilege of watching her sing in the room.
Now the established minimum is 400? I really don't see how they justify that, except to weed out cavemen like me.

My purpose in doing so is not to get into someone's pants as the recipient is most always someone into whose pants I've already been on multiple occasions, but rather to say "thank you" or celebrate an occasion (birthday) in a manner that has meaning for them. As it is a really big deal for the KBG's to "Ta ta don" in front of their peers and Mama.
I haven't had any occasion in 2015 to be tempted to buy Champagne, however if / when the occasion does arise, I will ask the price up front and if it truly is $400, I will refuse it. If enough of us follow this, the price will remain at the already ridiculous level of $300.

Want to socialize with her? Bring along your own champagne, sit there and hold hands for an hour, then bang her for the next hour. LOL Buying drinkees is a time buy, how much they drink or pour out pretty much does not matter. You're buying time with the KBG. Yes, a few guys like to live the fantasy or the "chase", I get it, to each his own, but $400 for champagne! That can get to be a pretty expensive voyage.
There is this level of expected behavior that KBs and the KBGs want you to learn and attain and it all has to do with your money going into their pockets. Some "buy" into the expected behavior and achieve a certain feeling of validation. Hey whatever works as long as you know what / why / how it works and accept it, I say, go for it.

Lancers and the rest but being an old goat has it's advantages since I don't buy bottles any more. I do have a bar birthday coming up soon and I already told her will buy her 20 Neko's if she can handle it (small Beers) but I am not buying a bottle guess works out the same but as far as time I am going to make out on the small bottles.
As brother SS said you buying her time, how much you spend for that time is the value you receive for your money, and finally the money you spend for that time if it's a dollar or 5 dollars or 16 dollars as long as you can afford it and the entertainment you receive equal the value you put into the monies spent. We (who actually go to the bars) all know this by now through the school of hard knocks.
The princesses now days can't even go to work when they are drawing a salary, or clean up the table when the guys leave when the house is running short of waiters. Pretty sad. To each his own as brother SS said but you have to remember it's not the one bottle that will get you it's the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th bottle that will really soak you and put a strain on your finances, well maybe not for some young, rich, handsome, twerps! Why else would you? To build a "rapport" or relationship with a bg for future harvesting? I can almost see it if you are doing it as a "thank you" for previous favors but NOT as an investment for the future.
Yeah it's funny how some kbg's hold themselves in much higher regard than other pros. The ONLY time I was coaxed (in my younger days) into buying two Soju bottles for $200, I was told the reward would be going to her place afterward for some night acrobatics. So I said "why don't I just give you the money and we can just leave? That way you can keep the whole $200". She frowned and exclaimed "I am not flostitute! Ok whatever. So we drank the first bottle and she returned the second bottle to the bar and left for her place (I tried to take the bottle with us but she said cannot, it's against the rules). So I would say that IMO it doesn't matter how much of the champagne the kbg will drink, becuz it's just the price of admission to her place anyway. I don't understand any other reason for buying it.
