I've had no experience with Black Dress Club myself. This is my recollection from various boards.

They opened around 2007 making a big splash on the Big Canine, E and even a profile on [backwards] ecapsym. The owner was a legitimate escort. Her business model was to be a guys' general store of legitimate escorts side-by-side with dinner-companion girls. Things broke down because of a lack of clarity which girls were in which department. Guys claimed they were ripped when the hot girl in a black dress showed up expecting to go to dinner and call it an evening. I never figured out why the owner, a real escort, thought the idea had a chance, yet the site remains up today. Maybe it's working after all. Who knows.

P.S. Anybody recognize Aubree on that site?

Hit and miss; by reputation at least one of the "models" on the site is not FS.

Can't say I ever understood the agency thing, unless you're an out-of-towner who wants to see three women in a weekend, or you need someone delivered in thirty minutes, like a pizza. There's presumably an office somewhere, with business records, and someone at the top who needs plausible deniability, at least. The women may get security, a place to learn the job, and freedom from handling reservations, but they also get a fraction of the $$ to $$$.5 you shell out. You're buying a middleman and a middleman's legal concerns.

Not to mention that guy who screams "ZERO BODY FAT!" at you every time you open a profile. Like I'm ordering a lab specimen or something. There's plenty of wonderful independents around. Yeah, I think the lack of feedback is probably all you need to know.

The second time I saw her by mistake after she changed her pics and name. Both times she did not look half as hot as the photos. Now, I don't know Kayla, haven't met her, have no axe to grind about either ad, but she impressed Ilapp, and his impressions have impressed me in the past. She's also honest enough to have posted what he considered her real age for months now, so I highly doubt she's behind the second ad with all different info. Someone likely stole her pics. I only posted about it so someone didn't go into a bad situation with that one w / o any suspicion. It really doesn't matter any more than that to me.

Hey, I applaud your catching it, and warning others; I was just curious why it "appeared someone was scamming her picture" rather than her posting two ads. I've seen stranger things than someone losing 7 years in an afternoon. I've seen stranger things than someone mistakenly typing "24" when she meant to type "27" or something else below the magic 30 mark. That, a different name, and a different number aren't exactly mortal sins in this business.

But they might give someone pause. Ilapp vouched that the woman in the ad was roughly 30, genuine, fun, and hot, and *might* be the subject of the pics. That's not the same thing as attesting that she posts to BP while under oath.

Pics have always been a peanut-and-shell game.

There are several possible girls behind a pic appearing in an escort ad. The girl in front of the camera, the girl who posted the pic that caught our eye, and the girl who will show up to see us. How many times have we left an appointment happy with what we saw and got, thinking it was her but we were not entirely sure?

We noticed Kayla of Indianapolis first. Then we learned that Anichka is also using the same pics. A Google of Anichka's phone links to [I]Katyah[/I] of South Bend whose ad displays pics having a completely different look.

The second girl we notice to have posted the same pics, Anichka, is no indication she is the scammer. All we know is the order we saw them. But Anichka and [I]Katyah[/I] of South Bend are compromised by their phone number being linked and [I]Katyah[/I] of South Bend having a completely different look. This could mean Kayla of Indianapolis and Anichka are the same. It could mean Anichka and [I]Katyah[/I] of South Bend are using the same phone as girls sometimes do. This situation usually raises more questions than we can answer, becomes circular or leads to a dead end. Only the photographer knows for sure.

What we can take to the bank is Ilapp had a chance face-time with Kayla of Indianapolis who he knew to be the girl behind the ad presently up, and he vouched her approximate age, that the pics of the woman in front of the camera used in her ad were close to the girl he met, and that she was hot. Period. That's good enough for me. There's not much that Ilapp can say on the subject of being the girl in front of the camera because the pics are cropped. But Ilapp saw her with his own eyes and gave her legitimacy by what he said and by being clear on the limits of what he said.

Seems like Miss Cate's ads do strike a chord out there, and even good clients aren't necessarily forever.

I don't know Cate, and I wouldn't presume to speak for her anyway, but I do know that over the years I've gotten to see several women who advertised but were famously hard to reach because of *who* my references were, and *what* they said about me, and not just the fact that I had some. And over the years I've stuck to a practice of writing the best introduction I could, then, if I didn't get a response, either moving on or writing one more, depending on the level of desire. A better way seems to be getting to know established providers, finding out who gets along with whom, and seeing someone for the reference if no other reason.

Y'know, finally, Miss Cate was nice enough to answer here, which is a helluva lot more than I've gotten from some cancelled appointments, let alone introductory notes. Her advertising practices or her selection process aren't really open to debate.

Just a heads up, there are some "ladies" working out of the hotels near the police post at 21st & Post Road. I only talked and booked with one, but when I got there, there were several others milling around the general area. The phone I called belongs to a guy; I'm assuming he's some kind of pimp or security. The woman that answered the call handed the phone to him when I asked a question other than "how much, where, and when".

What you think sounds fair or reasonable is meaningless. The provider writes the ads and decides when and where to post them, and she decides what services she will or won't offer, in general, or to you in particular. And, above all, the provider decides who to see or not see, who to answer and who to ignore. I'm not really sure how anyone misses this, but I do know that Miss Cate was kind enough to offer you a second chance to submit your info. Consider yourself ahead of the game, and don't start throwing around "deceptive practices".

You see. I had plans to go play golf Fri afternoon. Then I read a post by Ilapp that morning and I had to alter those plans. Over the past few months I've become friends with Teresa. Many have stated, and most have read that she is wonderful. She's beyond the GFE. (she'll do things most gf's won't). Indeed, Teresa is a dream.

Well, Ilapp told a story of Teresa spending some quality time with a young lady whom I had not met by the name of Lacy. Naturally, I was intrigued. A few phone calls latter and we were set.

When I made it to Teresa's, in comes bouncing this little ball of fire. Boys, if you haven't met Lacy yet, you better hold on! What a sexual dynamo! Her oral skills are beyond compare. Now granted, I'm not the largest rooster in the hen house, but when she swallowed me all the way to the "chicklets". My eyes must have rolled like 7's on a slot machine.

Either of these young ladies on their own could make your heart palpitate. But put them together in the same bed. Cowboy, you'd better hold on. You're in for the ride of your life! It's a shame we didn't have lights and a camera rolling. 'Cause I would have sworn I was in a porn video. My fantasy of having two beautiful women worship my see#k has now been fulfilled!

That begins with the provider and stops with me. Example I saw a provider's ad, thought it was "fair and reasonable" and proceed from there. Hopefully in exchanging money for services. Thus is the way of the hobby my friend.

It just so happens that the main impediment to that seems to be hobbyists, not providers. Or maybe that's because this is a hobbyist board, and if the women would let me in on their private conversations I'd be just as tiresome and long-winded in the opposite direction. I'll be happy to join in Top 25 Provider Complaints. I've called out women on deceptive advertising here and elsewhere.

It's chiselers and misogynists I can't stand. And they, after all, are the reason Miss Cate, and every other sensible provider, makes you jump through hoops before you see her.

As for "What you think sounds fair or reasonable is meaningless," well, I just didn't say that very well. Your standard of safety has no bearing on her beliefs, and hers take precedence. You may know you're legitimate, but she doesn't. Furthermore, even as an honest hobbyist you may be into some things you consider to be permitted under the menu but she doesn't; she might find that out from your vouches, but she won't get it from the receptionist at your business. Not presumably, anyway. She might find out about your hygiene that way, though. What your money gets you is the right to ask for different treatment, and the right to go somewhere else if you don't.

[/QUOTE]I agree and thats why I wasn't upset. I knew going in to this that Cate was probably one of the top providers in Indy. To my knowledge I have never seen a bad review. I gave it a shot without new refs and it didn't work out. Oh well I just move along and see someone else. I do believe the age excuse was be. S. And its this belief on my part as to why I'm not resubmitting my info. And anyway I'm still 37 so that attempt would still be a futile action. Miss Cate should run her business however she sees fit and it works because like I said before she has to be one of the top providers in the area. You don't get to or near the top without doing the right things.

Lastly, while we may not agree on everything I totally respect your opinion and your clarity to see and support the the hobby from both sides. I can't speak for anyone else but sometimes I only see the hobby from my side of the world.
