Visited Chicago this weekend and here's my report.

The only problem was that I could not remember the email address I used with them. I ended up paying $80 for a new smart phone from them but lost my number. Oh well. This phone gets triple minutes with every airtime card purchased.

Go to Wal Mart or Walgreens or CVS grab a prepackaged one off the wall along with a $20-$30 prepaid card and you are all set. Just need to activate it via the phone itself. No names no email no nothing. Cheap phones but hey don't need anything fancy. You refill as the money runs out. If you don't use the phone it doesn't run out I believe the money expires 6 months from the time you load it onto your phone.

Very reliable service, lots of places you can pick up 'refill' cards, and as has been stated, your minutes are good 90 days. Better still, if you have any left over, they will 'roll over' into your next 90 period (at least on mine).

One thing though: I have a truly ancient analog Tracfone (from 2006), and it's still working. When I saw this message, I pulled it out and called a strip club I have in my contacts list. Dialed through and heard the phone start ringing. Maybe it's just older 'smart' phones?

We had a hell of a lot of fun using it before the park was sold for development several years later, recouping some of the initial cost. Tracfone is good. Even cheaper option is H2 O wireless if you can find a vendor nearby you. Bestbuy sells their SIMs. You can get a $10 card that lasts 90 days. For this you get 200 minutes or texts. If you do not use it a lot, then it costs you just $40 for the whole year.

Trackfone has the advantage it is available at Walmart and so go with it if that is more convenient.

Money would not be the issue as much as location in the park and prying eyes. Too much vehicle activity is going to draw eyes. I know on oakton west of elmhurst road and also at 72 and elmhurst kiddie corner from h bodies in elk grove there are a few. I would believe finding a place just to pop an rv somewhere would be less likely than a cheap trailer home rental per month. But again all depends on placement.
