The search function works as it does on any major search engine. I did a quick search and drudged up 20 or more posts on Lacey, most citing that she does cash & dash ripoffs.
One problem that anyone researching the archives runs into as that the links posted by reviewers are useless; BP ads are not 'eternal' and if they are not removed by the provider herself, they will expire within a few weeks which is why I encourage everyone to take a few seconds to simply attach a photo from the ad to your post (see example below of Lacey). It took 30 seconds to save and then upload.

Visiting with Charlie is one of sweetest ways to spend time on this earth. So genuine, sweet, and sexy. She has an Audrey Hepburn / Goldie Hawn personality that truly sets her apart from all the rest. I have to say that every time I visit this beautiful young lady my soul gets 10 years younger. The Wide Net of Google Searches

[URL]Bustedescorts.com[/URL] DOES NOT provide info about girls who've actually been arrested. The girls' profiles are 'scraped' off of BP by a bot called an 'aggregator'. The profiles are then used to populate websites like [URL]bustedescorts.com[/URL] (there are others) which are basically marketing tools to drive traffic to another website which requires your credit card details.
If you play around on [URL]bustedescorts.com[/URL] you'll see that it is directing users to [URL]Easysex.com[/URL]. That's where the money is being made and for which [URL]bustedescorts.com[/URL] and other similar sites are just a stepping stone.
As concerns police stings, I think it's safe to assume that law enforcement has planted profiles in online communities to surveil but remember that they're principal focus is in rescuing trafficking victims, particularly underage teens and busting pimps who are coercing victims. I've talked to several girls who've been contacted by law enforcement, not arrested, just questioned. The reality is with the current budget crisis and SB 91, government and law enforcement are trying to keep people out of jail because of the enormous costs. Non-violent misdemeanors like soliciting are simply not in their cross-hairs right now.
Actually, it's a great time right now for hobbyists in Alaska. If you go to places like Houston or Miami there is a strong likelihood that you will run afoul of law enforcement simply because those are jurisdictions that have the financial resources to prosecute two consenting adults involved in a dream.
Here in the Last Frontier the budget crunch has forced folks to rethink priorities, and rightly so. That's part of the reason why you have so many girls coming up from the lower 48 and Hawaii, despite the local recession, and so many new local girls getting into the business because there's little risk of being arrested. Alaska is wide open; enjoy it while it lasts!
Lastly, I've found 8's, 9's and 10's on BP just by scrolling, clicking and calling. Itzel, Natasha (AnnaMae) and Naomi Heaven come to mind (see photos below). Which is to say, I don't think it a total crapshoot.

The fact that most girls are transparent however doesn't invalidate the reasons you cited for why some might not want to reveal their face. I'm just a little skeptical when I've never once seen a face photo of any of the renowned ATF's: Katie (TCL), Piper, Charlie or Serenity.
As far as lowering expectations, it's hard to do when you've dreamed with the likes of Itzel, Natasha and Naomi Heaven, to name a few girls in the 8 -10 range (see photos below).

Many ads that do not show a face also show photos of someone else's body. Conversely, many ads that DO show face shots will turn out to be someone else's face. In fact, this is very common. I even have personal knowledge of some providers who have used fake ("stolen") face shots, but actually included their own real body photos. And, finally, it is very common for a girl to use real photos, but from a much earlier time in their life. That is to say, "real, but old" photos.
Ultimately, I don't think you can accurately state a reliable "ratio" between fake photos and real photos. Every case is likely to be different, so in the absence of reliable intel from another "hobbyist" and-or consensus of published reviews, most first encounters initiated through Backpage are going to qualify as a bit of a crap shoot. That's just the nature of the beast.
